The slog is worth it for the views. But be warned, at least 2/3 are stairs. It mixes the ups and downs as you go at least. The great views are in the last quarter. Not that fit and managed a 3 hour return.

Great challenging day walk with stunning views. Make sure to keep a look out for the see lions which sun themselves on the rocks at the base of the candlestick. Also possible to see rock climbers ascending the totem pole.

Great place for a day (minimum half a day ) stopover. Nice beach and a grey trail. Be feted and prepared for a 4h hike with 1000 plus steps up and down in both directions. Get water and some fruits with you. Forget about your legs nest day.

Clear water and beautiful shore. It will take you 4 hours to return from Cape Hauy from the trailhead. It was a pity we didn’t have sufficient time to complete the whole trail. But it is still a good track to strengthen your physical conditions and enjoy the singular rocks along the shore. I suggest you to reserve 4~5 hours for this track if you plan to see the glorious rocks in your life. By the way, the road to this beach is unsealed and bumpy. You have better drive slowly. We saw one car had flat tire when my wife drove us to the beach.

Trailhead of the cape hauy hiking located in the Tasman national park. Park pass required, camping site, bbq, toilet facilities are provided. Four hour return hiking route along the hill and coastal line. Absolutely worth the time to enjoy the stunning view of the southern Tasman island.

Must do walk. Trailhead is easy to find, just look for the boat ramp. Well marked track with lots of steps. Approx 9.5k return, took just under an hour to complete, add some time if you want to enjoy the views.

Road to the cape was mostly uphill so took me 2.5 hours to get there. View was breathtaking and definitely worth the effort.

Tough 2-hour one way trip including the time I stopped to take many beautiful pictures, need to across 4 hilltops to the Cape but the view is one of the top 3 in my life, highly recommended! 1.5 hours when coming back as more downhills help a bit. Overall it’s absolutely worth the effort!

Trail conditions were excellent, paving and stepping stones were very well done. Weather conditions were disappointing, despite weather forecast.

A great walk on a long but very well maintained trail. Lots of stairs! Spectacular views once you get to the cape, and just incredible at the end.
