Cannon Park Dining & Entertainment

It was quiet last night. The cinema is dead. It's sad that it used to be full of people. The first thing I noticed was that the car park is almost empty. The 2nd thing I saw were kids playing ball pass. I realised that it would be nice if the kids had something else to do outdoors for activities.

We went to watch cinema and played few of the claw machine. It's a total ripped off btw. Some other establishments claw machine will give you better chances of winning. Inside the cinema theater in the middle of the movie the fire alarm went on! Tho the staff was quick on her feet and advised everyone to stay as they investigate. A refund was offered for anyone who wanted it. Good job!

We then find some place to have dinner. We went to Hogs breath but they apologised as they were slready closing.

So we went to cactus jacks. It was quiet, too. We were given a booth. The place is cosy. The food we weren't able to finish. Now I wish I could come back to finish it. They had good decors that my kids couldn't stop but to pose for pictures. The food was great, and so is the atmosphere.

Most of the other restaurants are closed to the quietness of the night.

Great place to dine out with family or friends. Friendly staff. Great food. I don't like spicy foods so I wasn't sure if I'd find a dish I could eat but I did - the burrito bowl and at my last visit I ordered the Aztec pie. Two dishes that don't pack a lot of heat. Easy parking. Conveniently located. Go from meal to movie or vice versa as cinemas are close by

Had the barramundi for lunch today can't find words except amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful always there if you need something. I can't wait again till next week this is my second week there totally gorgeous food. I am so looking forward to next week's lunch my biggest problem is deciding what I will choose to eat.

What an amazing restaraunt. The cocktails are to die for, the food is not just of a really high quality but is quick and the service is of a standard you just don't see in Townsville.
I've been two weeks in a row and ended the night there as going anywhere else would have been a disappointment.
Keep it up.

We went to Live Fire and to say we were satisfied is an understatement! My fussy 13yr old daughter loved the cheeseburger and said it was the best she has ever eaten! She also loved the Mustard. Everything was delicious.

Nice vibes for dinner and movies

A great area for dining and entertainment for both locals and visitors. There is a wide range of dining options available including Fasta Pasta, Cactus Jacks, and Hogs Breath, as well as Reading Cinemas. Slightly detached from Cannon Park is Kingpin, which is a short walk away.

Parking can be a bit tricky during peak/busy periods, however there is a dirt carpark available opposite Cannon Park.

Its pretty much the date night capital of Townsville. Start the night with a feed from one of the many choices of restaurants, finish with cocktails at cactus, beers at the pub or a quiet movie in the cinemas.
It's the perfect place if you can't decide what to have for dinner. With the diverse range of food and restaurants, you'll always leave full and satisfied.

I love that there are many options food wise as well as knowing they maintain a very good standard of service, quality and value for money

Common food precinct in Townsville. Busy most nights, and would recommend booking ahead. Definitely book ahead for weekends, and especially for groups. Variety of restaurants including Western, Irish, Indian, Mexican and Chinese. Includes cinemas. Walking distance from Willows Shopping Centre.

Great array of dining for a night out or take away. Irish Finegans for Live Entertainment and pool, Reading Cinema for a dinner and movie combo.
Hog's Breath Cafe for the best family dining in Townsville!

It's awesome to have so many choices were to eat and then go watch your favorite movie very good restaurants and if would like have a few drinks after the movie there great tavern open till late

Hogs Breath Cafe was awesome! The only thing that was an issue was the sauces they have changed them and they aren't quite the same! Except the sweet chilli sauce was as always fantastic on calamari dish.

My favourite place to dine :) So many great options, we can always find somewhere to agree with everyone. And the $10 movie theatre is a very welcome bonus!

We went to Cactus Jacks for our lunch. We had a Buffet lunch which was so filling and tasty. Well done to the crew there.

Alot of variety with this place with food and drinks. The cinemas are cheap and clean. Theres a little coffee shop tucked on the side of a burrito restaurant which serves great milk shakes and coffee.

Good outside seating that is dog friendly. We use the cafe and Zambrero and like both. Good spot when you are on this part of the city.

Loved it, good meals, friendly atmosphere, what more could one ask for!

$10 movie tickets everyday with Hoggies and Cactus, Chinese or Tacos. Great to take visitors to town or just to have a date night.
