Absolutely beautiful national park, lots of hikes, mostly accessible with a normal car. Two creek crossings, one little one , one stepper one before most of the hikes. I would recommend a 4wd but could probably get across it in a normal car. Hikes all beautiful, very well signed, tracks well maintained.

Just went today on the short rainforest circuit 1.3Km. There are others 3,9,10Km. We preferred the short one. One of the most interesting, we saw 4 kangaroos pass by. Walked through a few cob webs, guessing not a lot of people do the forest circuit. Well enjoyed it. Perfect to stretch out your legs.

We took around 2:25 hours to complete the 10.3km hike to the Mount Mitchell Pean, beautiful views the whole way up.

We did the hike up to Mt. Mitchell, the view from the top was really nice, most of the path got recently cleaned and wasn't overgrown too bad. Nevertheless many spiders decided to build there webs across the path. So be aware and take a stick with you ;) Also due to millions of cicada it was extremely noisy in the forest (in end of December)

Pleasant experience and upbeat feeling after travelling through the checkpoints of the park.
Plenty of animals, charming bird songs everywhere in the park.
Loved the stunning 14 River crossing.

Multiple tracks start from this destination. There is a car park which can house probably up to 30 cars which fills up pretty fast over the weekend.
I have done Mount Mitchell track from here which is about 10 Km return 2-3 hrs. With fantastic views.

Loved this, lots of slippery water crossings, snakes x4 including a fat as python that was indulging a food baby. Leeches, waterfalls, swimming holes, monitor lizards. And I can't forget to credit the birds for their brilliant sound track.

What an amazing place! It’s hard to put into words how much we loved it!! It was a long walk, but considering the height it was quite a pleasant, gradual climb to the top of the 1135m Mt Cordeaux, thankfully the views more than made up for it!! We told the kids it was only the 6.8km walk, butttttt it may have been closer to the 10km mark by the time we did 1/2 the other track!! Only an urgent toilet stop changed that plan 🤣🤣
The landscape changes are amazing and one minute you’re waking in subtropical rainforest and the next it’s all Australian natives! Absolutely stunning 💖🌲🦖⛰🍃 Well worth a stop if you’re in the area, parking is a premium though and many actually park along the Cunningham Highway 😳🙈

Beautiful spot and amazing views from the summits. It’s amazing how quickly the drone of traffic disappears as soon as you hike into the bush. Well worth a visit.

An awesome weekend camping at Manna Gum and exploring the National Park. There's loads of trails of varying length and difficulty. Most of the park is accessible by any type of car or motorcycle. Some campsites are wheelchair friendly, including the bathrooms. The lookouts are short walks from the car park and have great views and informative reading panels. Only a short drive from Brisbane, this was an easy weekend trip!

Needed way more time for this amazing place. Trails are well marked and go from really easy to difficult. Big information centre with lovely staff. Excellent!

The Main Range NP is a beautiful place that I cannot recommend enough. Mount Cordeaux (definitely go the extra few km to bare rock) is the best for beginners and Mitchell will not disappoint either.

Great walk. Quite cool in the early morning. We were there early November for the fireflys. Bring on the rain, it’s definitely dry out there. But water is flowing over the falls

Nice place to stop and break up your drive. We did the Rainforest Circuit walk, it's a nice short walk with a lookout view halfway.

It's always a beautiful experience and a nice walk, and the ladies at the coffee shop at the queen Mary falls are great

Absolutely brilliant area! Nature, not suitable for caravan or large trailers, lots of wildlife including lyrebirds, Bower birds, wriggly beasties and noisy beasties.
Caravan Park located adjacent to Queen Mary Falls, beautiful walking tracks to beautiful and high waterfalls.
Will definitely be coming back!
