Great spot to watch the sun rise. Park at Crest car park on the right side of the road at the peak of Cunninhams Gap if you're travelling from Brisbane. Allow about 1.5hrs at a moderate pace to reach the lookout. There isn't many parking spaces unfortunately so the earlier you get there the better, they fill up fast. There are some quite steep drop offs along the track so not suitable for very young children.

As 60 year olds my mate and I made it to the top, we plodded along and it took us 2.5 hours. Well worth it, beautiful big trees in the rainforest, and the stunning vistas at the top, WOW
Now to get to the carpark!

Very beautiful scenery after a long and muddy trail. This lookout is not fenced, so take care!

I'm very new to hiking and it was a hike I could complete without getting out of breath. Lovely view at the top and throughout. Sighted 2 baby kangaroos. Hiked a bit further to Bare Rock and the view is worth it. If you want yo feed your eyes a good amount of greens this place is a must visit.

A long rainforest trail leads to the lookout at 1,300 metres above sea level. A view over most of the southern Scenic rim.

Thoroughly enjoyed this walk and the views are worth it. Very popular so the carpark was full so time your visit so as to not be disappointed.
You can't miss the carpark and the start of the trail is easy to locate as you walk past the monument on a sealed path.
It's a moderate level walk so good shoes are recommended. Along the walk you will find an old gold mine which unfortunately never made the miners rich.
There is a toilet block at the car park but no other facilities.

Stunning view with a reasonably short hike ( because you start high )

Problem is the car park is very small. And it's just on the side of a main road. So if there's no parking, you may need to just sit there and wait for parking or give it a miss.

Took the kids to Corduex and through to BARE Rock. Took us 3hrs 20minutes return... but a very clear, well walked/marked track with absolutely beautiful views. Some muddy patches to navigate here and there but the vast majority of the track is well shaded by the rainforest. We absolutely loved Bare rock!!! I'll be bringing them kids back for a sunset/sunrise hike one day soon :) highly reccomend (My kids are 10 & 13)

Mount Cordeaux Lookout is a stunner of a walk with a very steady and gentle incline. The terrain changes constantly, the views are great. The lookout is a natural rocky outcrop with expansive views over the surrounding mountains, Fassifern Valley, and out to Moogerah Dam

Comfortable trail with steps about 1-1.5 hr each way to fantastic views. All uphill then all downhill. Public toilets at one end of car park very welcome

Amazing spot to go for a walk, head up early and watch the sunrise or stay late and watch it set! Relatively easy walk to the top and well worth it. If you have time keep going to bare rock and Morgan's walk. It can be very hot in summer so take water and a hat.

Good hike. 1 hour 20min up. 1 hour return. Spectacular views from top. Take care on cliff edges. Majority of of walk in rainforest, long steady incline. Last section exposed and more steps. Watch out for leeches.

Short and easy trail of ~7km, Id say family friendly. Parking lots are almost full on weekends

It's a beautiful place, great for hiking, not busy, the lookout is unbelievable. If you want to go in winter, it's cold at the summit.

Beautiful hike, gentle grades and views are beautiful at several small look out points and main lookout gives you maybe 270 degree view from the drop off overlooking mt mitchell and Lake Moogerah

Lovely walk. Beautiful view at the top and only a short detour to Bare Rock on the track back down.

Absolutely gorgeous! We did the Mount Cordeaux Track which gave us some absolutely gorgeous rainforest views and then some stunning sights once we reached the summit! Would absolutely recommend!

First time hiking mount Cordeaux and did it for sunrise! Absolutely amazing. Got to see wallabies hopping about in the dark.

The hike itself wasn’t hard. It would around 1.5hrs to the top.

Be sure to bring a jacket to keep warm(but you’ll warm up during the hike) headlamp and wear ankle support shoes. The trail sometimes gets rocky and loose rocks will be your downfall because I sprained my ankle on the way down from the top and had to limp back- wasn’t very fun. Haahah

But worth it for the sunrise. Spectacular. Definitely recommend.

Great hike. Steep. Takes about 1.5hrs. stunning views. Usually windy, so take something light to wear at the top.

Did the sunrise walk, definitely worth it. Not a very difficult walk, took an hour from the carpark.
Left Aratula at 4 and arrived at the lookout at 5.30 for the 6am sunrise then continued on to bare rock
