What a Great museum to visit. Good collections of national Carriage and well displayed. The Science centre is good fun place for children. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Not only the carriages , they have other sections like - Spy -history of espionage in Australia, Hands on Workshops, This is my heritage exhibition, MegaFauna ( pre historic Giant from Darling downs) and The coach stop play area. We enjoyed our visit.

Great museum with plenty of interactive things to do. The science centre is a lot of fun which was the highlight, but it was also great to see all the old carriages. Definitely worth the money.

Really enjoyed every part. The Australian Spy portion was well done and quite a fascinating read! I really liked the carriage section and the history of all of the conveyance. There is also a small science room with some hands on stuff for the kids.

An iconic museum in Toowoomba and definitely worth a visit. Aside from the historical museum, there's also a Science museum which is great for kids, a Spy themed museum, and a cafe for food and drinks afterwards. The staff were wonderful and very friendly and they offer student discount which was great. Plenty of parking in the adjacent street out the front, and it's located very close to Queens Park for a walk afterwards. We actually found it very interesting here and would highly recommend!

A great facility. Pays tribute to all aspects of regional history and preserves an extensive range of historical items. The coach display is the best I've seen and definitely worth a visit when in Toowoomba.
There's a lovely cafe and gift shop. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

I loved this museum and much bigger than I thought it would be. Well done to all the people who put this together.

EDIT: went back 11/8/22 for a second visit and loved it even more. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic displays in this museum ranging from hands on interactive scientific exhibits which really got the kids involved, to dinosaur fossils found in the region, and of course, the incredible display of original Cobb&Co memorabilia including horse drawn coaches and buggies and various pieces of other equipment. All beautifully restored to their original condition. We really enjoyed the whole experience including food we had in the restaurant found just inside the entrance of the museum.

We were sceptical about the museum but were pleasantly pleased by the exhibits. Has a Kids Science Museum that they interact and enjoyed. Great cafe and shop inside.
The carriage exhibits give a memoir into the good olden days..

Visited from NZ. Wasn't sure what to expect but was impressed with every aspect of the museum. From the cafe to the exhibits which were well laid out and explained. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

A very good museum that doesn't just focus on the usual dinosaurs and dead animals.
Has a good science Centre, and is greatly focused on the history of the local and surrounding areas.
Plenty of stage coaches, buggies, silkies, and other historical regional modes of transport.
Has a working woodworking and blacksmiths workshops, where you can watch how things were made and repaired in years gone by.
The holiday workshops for kids, although they cost a little more, are great educational and fun activities which makes kids learn while playing.. without them even knowing!! 😁

My Daughter (7) loved the displays from the moment we walked in. We spent at least 1.5 hours walking through reading and listening to the written and interactive displays. Not once was there a "I'm bored" spoken. Considering we went on a day when there were no workshops in woodworking or blacksmithing operating. We will be back over the school holidays to see this place with all wheels turning!

We visited our bestfriend who were living in Toowoomba, and its my first time in the city. You can really experience the difference between main CBD and Toowoomba's CBD, nevertheless I enjoyed my 3 days stay.

I learned many things in the museum, like where the lamingtons originated, different rock weapons and creatures in Australia. The cafe is awesome and staff are really helpful. My favorite the carriage section. I suggest you include this to your trip list its worth it!

Better than we expected. Quite a lot to see. We spent a good few hours there without feeling bored. If you want to get some food or drink at the cafe, be prepared to wait for a while.😂
