Frango Petersham

Frangos is a place for mighty good chicken, but it’s not only a place for chicken. They’ve got some great seafood too. Chicken is very tasty and juicy. Portions were very generous. Had a friendly staff member serve us bread and butter for starters with mayonnaise and chilli sauces provided for our meals. Food came out very quick, and staff are very friendly and professional checking up on us.

Great chicken and fries! I’m not a fan of the rice but my partner loves it. I had a burger with side salad once too and that was great. There’s always a line up so expect a short wait. Highly reccomend!

Very nicely roasted churasqueria style chicken. Juicy and not overcooked and right-priced. If they worked on the chips and did not force you to buy a damn fizzy drink, I would be a more regular customer, but for the good vibe and fair price on top of the great chicken I’ll award a 5.

Portuguese charcoal chicken esp with garlic sauce is delicious! But our go to is the double chicken burger. Oh yum!!

Always a bit of a wait for dinner times though.

The food is excellent, highly recommend the garlic prawns. The staff were awesome, helpful, and very friendly. It's that good old-fashioned serving where the staff come to you and pour the wine, ask about the food and if we need anything else. It had a great atmosphere and an excellent vibe

Delicious chicken burger combo at a very affordable price. They give thin french fries and a HUGE chicken burger with a can of drink for less than $20. Their signature chilli and mayo sauce do not disappoint. Don't think you need the extra sauce, can get overwhelming.

The portions are huge - I personally felt I could've shared it with someone. Will come back to try their other menu items

The Frangos eat in restaurant upstairs was great. We had the clams, charcoal chicken and beef skewers, salad and rice. Very nice and full of flavour. The clams were a hit

A Petersham classic! I've never understood the hype of chicken but having this as a local has felt like a comforting hug. My partner and I will often get a whole chook, large salad, large chips and some BBQ corn on a weeknight and we'll have leftovers for the next day. Generous portions and really well priced. It's a chaotic restaurant to order takeaway from but you have to embrace the chaos!

Highly recommend making chicken stock with the chicken frame too

POSITIVE

Came and fought it out for a parking spot at the rear. Was ultimately victorious. Rocked in through back entrance. Sat down and was attended to reasonably quickly. Ordered 1/2 chicken and fries $18. It arrived quickly and was devoured just as quickly. The thin fries and thin chicken didn't offer much resistance. The charred chicken was scrumptious with the chilli sauce.

Food barely touched the sides!

Acoustics are appauling best, not even try and converse as noise bounces all over the back dining room

With everything being lean like the shoestring chips, you best not travel too far before eating them. I like fries, but you have a 5-minute window to eat them before they go cold.

$4 for a can of drink is excessive

Smokey, fresh, succulent, flavoursome! and we couldn't stop even when we already full, just had to finish it! Off the charts! No wonder it's packed all the time! Highly recommended to try at least once, but then you will find out its never going to be only once!

Love the BBQ chicken and chicken burgers really good chips , there's plenty to choose from on the menu for eat in or take away , they are so busy there and the food is so fresh and tasty , dont be put off by the crowd of customers waiting , it's a quick turn over . Place order at any part of counter, they'll give you a ticket with a number , if your having a burger they call your number and ask what you want on it , then move on and pay , (( enjoy. ))

Place is packed, so need to book . Food is good, specially Charcoal grilled chicken. Sea food rice was good, I wish there were more rice. Sliced potato was crispy.

Used to frequent Frangos regularly after high school as it was just across the bridge; their Chicken burger and chips has always consistently been great value for money and delicious. Decided to take a trip down memory lane as I felt nostalgic, the level of service was definitely not as good as I remembered but was satisfactory. The food however, was still as great and my friends who visited from New Zealand lamented for a store to open in their hometown

1st time eating there today, wow what great tasting food. If I'm ever back up that way I know I'll be definetly going back. Super fresh, great fries and burger was amazing.

We came here for lunch but because it was full we ate elsewhere and got takeaway for dinner. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy even though we ate it a couple of hours after we bought it. Will have to come again to try the food when it’s just come off the grill.

One of the great institutions in Sydney. Perfect food, service and atmosphere. Chicken is succulent and served straight off the coals - tastes delicious with the accompanying sauces. Also recommend the clams. Can’t go wrong with Frangos!
