Old Bar Beach Takeaway

For $14 fish, chips and salad, it was much better than i was expecting.

We’d just arrived to Old Bar so bf & I were hungry, we decided to stop in here and get something for dinner , bf had a cheeseburger he said “ it tasted like home cooking ,made with love and good quality ingredients “ which was really nice to hear him say ! I had 2 fish cocktails which were huge I must say , they were hot , very tasty and we will definitely be coming back more delicious take away food! You won’t be disappointed, we weren’t ! Give this takeaway a try 👍🏽

Food was freshly made, and tasted great. It was so nice to have some cooked fish that doesn’t come frozen. Thank you. ☺

We ordered the family pack and the only issue was there too much food …lesson learned. The fish was very tasty, and the prawns and calamari were massive and perfectly cooked. Highly rated!

Salad and steak sandwich with steak sauce . So fresh and tasty.

The takeaway food here is exceptional. Battered goods & burgers are superb. Service is fast & friendly. You really can’t go wrong here. I would love to see traditional thick cut chips like we all know & love.

this family has had this shop for quite a while, maybe 10 years now but still seem like they are serving some sort of sentence. fish & chips were good quality & good value & way better than the same meal from blowfish. & our $40 worth of chips was chip sandwiches for about 20 people. they close way too early, not sure why

Plenty of seating in park and at restaurant. Fish tacos are delicious. Be warned you get a lot of chips 😊. I left my bag under a table and staff went to no end of trouble to contact me. Thank you.

Disregard any reviews prior to Friday 20 August 2021. New owners reopened the business then after extensive refurbishment. Has been going gangbusters since, selling out of stock twice, such has been the response from locals.
