Recently I had an urgent need for medication late in the evening. My doctor contacted the owner and he made time to assist me. A big thank you to a fantastic business serving the Old Bar community.

Very friendly staff but seems to be more expensive for certain products when compared to chemists in Taree, polaramine for example is $6 plus more expensive than a chemist in taree...

The pharmacy is a bit of a rip off. They charged $26.99 for Systane Ultra UD Lubricant Eye Drops, whereas it sells for $16 at most everywhere else. That's a minimum of 40% markup on a regular retail price... how do you justify such a huge markup?

Why do pharmacy assistants have a whispered conversation about the question you have asked when you are standing right there. 🤷🏼‍♀ And why, then, does the first assistant put a box on the counter in front of you without saying a single word? As a perfectly intelligent person, with a medical background it was a surreal experience to say the least. One star for poor customer service and for a grumpy pharmacist.
