Wow ! This place is a hidden gem. Truly authentic Thai food . Glad they don’t listen to the locals ( what normally happens ) extra cream in the mussuman ect. And the things they usually do to cater for westerners. Keep doing what you’re doing we love your authentic food . !!! High quality ingredients ! A++ and the best taste ! Must try their tom yum It’s cooked from scratch

I ordered take away here. Food was fantastic. This place makes great food and really cares about their customers. Has a great reputation in town. The owners love their community and the community loves them back.

Casual relaxed dining. Great service. Decor not fancy, but friendly and welcoming.

The food was great, we order and pick up to take home. I am Thai living in Sydney here to visit nana at Old bar. Highly recommend this Thai restaurant. So rich and delicious.

Whilst the humidity was oppressive & there's no air conditioning, the food made up for everything. Delicious, authentic & cooked to perfection. As a local, how have I not been there before? Wait staff were a bit forgetful, but given they were run off their feet, it was forgiveable. I shall be returning!

The best Thai food we’ve had in years. Delicious beef rub curry and crispy mushrooms. Pla Goong also fabulous. Staff are lovely too. Only downside is lack of decor inside.

Truly delicious and authentic food. So good to see lots of lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves used generously in the dishes. I enjoyed the fusion dishes and other dishes that are not found in other Thai restaurants. Complements to the chef. Will visit again when I pass by next time!

Great food and lovely staff

Outstanding authentic Thai food. Run by a lovely southern Thai family with genuine hospitality. Delicious and a great place for a special dinner. This is real Thai food not the usual Aussie version of it. Love this place. Ask for their specialty dishes, fantastic southern Thai spices. (Ii live in southern Thailand this is rhe real deal!)
Ignore the few bad reviews. Old Bar is a bit of a cultural desert and not everyone appreciate how amazing it is to have such a world class Thai restaurant in a little coastal country town! Don't worry the town also has fish and chips for quick takeaway or those on a budget.

Amazing find here on the mid coast. Wonderful Thai food, not your average run of the mill choices, so diverse and just so delicious.
Top that of with friendly, very efficient staff and you have winner. Definitely a place not to miss.

The food here is brilliant - heaps of flavour, above average size serves, fresh, hot. No corkage for BYO and rice is complimentary which is an excellent touch - not possible in Sydney. Staff are friendly and prompt and food took about seven minutes to arrive. Absolutely recommend this place and will be back. Three mains and rice for three was $79 which I thought was a deal!

Absolutely abysmal service .Had to ask for menues After a long wait rice came out 15 minutes before one of two meals .Had to then chase up my partners meal .I way very embarrassed to take my partner to a place with such atrocious service .Will not recommend to anyone .

Yes! We've finally found another one of only few really delicious restaurants in the forster/taree areas. Fresh food, delicious well balanced flavors good service and a great location. As vegetarians we're short of great quality options around here, this one is a winner, definitely check them out!

Excellent. We really enjoyed our dinner here. We shared a signature dish entree and it was very good. The beef ribs were to die for. They also do pork ribs. We also had a Thai salad which was very nice. Just the right amount of spice. For dessert we had the sticky rice.
The wait staff were friendly and helpful. The whole experience was great. We will be back.

We just had the most delicious takeaway which was ready at the time promised. We were mega impressed when it came in compostable bio pack containers. We usually avoid takeaways due to the packaging so this was great to see. All dishes were amazing and the children wanted to give a special mention to the satay chicken. Thanks so much!
