Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food has always been great! I came back here from time to time and quality have never dropped. Recently, booked for a group of 7 and ordered the Me so hungry set. Very generous portion. Good food and good value for money.

Probably the best value omakase in town these days! Have been craving for omakase for a while, and yachiyo is never a disappointment.

Went there last year with a group of friends and the experience has been amazing. Coming back again this year with another group, which turns out even better.

Price point is reasonable with great value! Good with the premium omakase this time and all the sushi are super fresh and rice texture is just perfect on point! The other dishes in between prawn, abalone, oyster soup, black miso cod, zucchini flower, they match well with the flow of the course. It helps cleanse your palette but also keep you excited throughout the course.

Chef micchan san is super fun as well! We had quite a bit of chat throughout the meal and stayed back for more drinks with him. His vision about omakase and the food industry is so bright which makes him proud of what he does. He is a very genuine chef which aims to bring quality food and Great experience to customers and not jsut focusing about the profit. It is hard to find omakase less than $150 in Sydney these days! Would highly recommend to anyone and can’t wait to go back !

Just crave Japanese food so without any expectations we came to this restaurant which has really reviews on google and I wish I can give MORE THAN 5 STARS because the food and the value is just so good especially if you come during lunch like us. We got the chicken karaage and tempura gosens and both are so delicious, really good balance and the ambience is really comfortable, just look at the photos! Highly recommended!

Amazing culinary experience. Thank you to all the chefs and cooks and staff. We sat at the kitchen bar and could watch them make the food and serve it straight to us which was great. The chefs explained each sushi item in the $80 set menu “okasame”

Was plenty of food and all tasted delicious.

+ they have Toto toilets!! ❤❤

Really delicious food with a lovely atmosphere and super great service. It isn't crazy expensive and the chef even gave us a small portion of a sweet treat for free :) drinks were also good! Would definitely go back.

One of my fave Japanese in Sydney and I have been coming here for years. I ordered the slow cooked wagyu, chicken katsu and battered whiting. Oh my, the wagyu was flavoursome and just melted in my mouth! I am very picky with my katsu as I often found them overcooked and dry, but their chicken katsu is the best one I've ever had. So tender, moist and the right amount of crunch. And their battered whiting was also yummy too.

Tried their $130 premium omakase recently and loved it! Food was delicious and, despite having prepare both omakase and a la carte orders at the same time, Mitsu-san still made sure we were looked after well. Thank you!

One of my favourite local Japanese spots for lunch or dinner. Always great service, and the sushi and food is fresh and delicious. I've been over 4x and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Fantastic little Japanese restaurant a little hidden away from the normal hotspots of the area but definitely recommend popping in. Very friendly and helpful staff when we had any questions and good variety on the menu. Will be back and could see myself spending a relaxed evening there choosing some small share pieces enjoying some sake, very cosy atmosphere :)

Absolutely delicious food of the highest quality — being an absolute Japan enthusiast, I really enjoyed feeling like dining in a restaurant in Tokyo 🤩🤩
My recommendations definitely are the cauliflower popcorn as well as the kale with the wasabi-coriander sauce. Yumm!!
We ended up spending quite a bit of money, but it was totally worth it 😁😁

The food was amazing! I recommend the "Me so hungry"... yes it's actually named that, it gives you a variety of chef's choice dishes and they are all delicious.

Everything we tried was delicious, especially their salmon rolls. And they had okonomiyaki on the menu (tasted wonderful!)! The sake tasting was a funny and surprising extra event.

Blew my expectations out of the water! So hard to find good sushi in Sydney. Bug roll and spicy tuna were my favorite!

Best Japanese in Sydney. The flavours are sublime. Lovely, attentive staff and very reasonably priced. Wagyu beef is to die for but very rich so order some rice with it.

Very high end fusion experience.
Really enjoyable. Are at the bar with the full attention of the chef.
Tried a lot of dishes, some not quite to my taste but, went to try it out and came away very pleased having discovered a few new dishes which were top notch. Would recommend if looking for an intimate and enlightening dining occasion.
