Jensens Restaurant

Don't be put off that is attached to a shopping centre as this place is quality dining. I 👏 them for offering a vegan menu but not asking meat prices. The vegan dumplings were tasty. The vegetable bake pizza was very interesting & flavorsome. My dining partner enjoyed her pork belly & burnt basque cheesecake. We had a lovely lunch & the service was very attentive. The space is very large with lots of different areas, & they have a separate room for groups of up to 20.

Overall lovely food & attentive servers.

Pro- Delicious Starters & cocktails. Solid wine list.

Avg - The aged Steak served medium rare was gristly & tough. Potato croquettes are an odd accompaniment. Felt it needed a truffle mash to soften it.

Cons- 2 hr seating felt rushed & we would have ordered or paid more not to have to skull the bottle of wine towards the end. This place gets busy, so if you've booked an early dinner, it's likely your table will be required for 2nd service.

Other notes- Booked for a special birthday. Thought it was odd that they asked when seating whose birthday it was, but then didn't provide any complimentary flourish such as macaroons or a token item like other high end restaurants have done over the years. It's probably better not to bring it up if you aren't going to. Haha.

The food provided here is incredible, the dessert is also absolutely amazing and I’m so grateful I have this place as a local to hit for date night and special occasions!I seriously can’t get enough of this place, if I were rich I’d eat here everyday. The one thing that would be cool to see is a little more live music 🎶

I have been to Jensen’s twice now and I loved it both times. The food is phenomenal, fantastic service and reasonably priced. It is now one of my favourite restaurants.

Wow !! We were a party of 5 and was told that we had to dine here. From the moment we stepped in we were warmly welcomed. Our booth was cosy and comfortable. Our hostess was delightful and very knowledgeable on the menu. Dessert was delicious. We would definitely dine here again.

Went here for the 1st time to celebrate a birthday. The three of us had the Gnocchi, meat pizza, and the stuffed Zucchini flowers. The Gnocchi and flowers are entrees, but you can pay $10 extra and get a larger mains size helping; which we did. All three dishes were some of the best that we have ever had. Washed down with a couple of $20 Cocktails, we were too full for any dessert. The interior is very nice, with a bar in the middle of the restaurant. The place is located inside Kareela shopping centre, and has free parking.
Staff were very friendly and attentive; continually topping up our filtered water, and removing finished plates.
We arrived at 5.30p.m on a Friday evening, and when we left around 7, the place was pretty full...reservations are strongly recommended !
3 main size dishes, 2 cocktails, and a bottle of filtered water came to just under $150.00.
We would highly recommend it, and would definately come back for important occasions.

Absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing and the decor is so chic and well done. Staff are great and it gets better and better because the food and cocktails are AMAZING.

Enjoyed a great lunch at Jensen's today for wife's birthday, all meals were sensational and excellent service from Brittney.

Brilliant restaurant, yes a little pricey but absolutely worth it, you get what you pay for, no question. The food is just delicious, the gnocchi, omg never have had such delicious gnocchi and am planning on a return visit for more. Make sure you leave room for dessert because it is worth it! The service was on point as well and the atmosphere was spot on. Highly recommend, worth travelling to if you aren't close by, it really knocks other places out of the park.

Exceptional food, exceptional service and lovely refreshing clean and sophisticated venue. First the entree, and the star of the show, the gnocchi. This was next level and I will be back for a main size serving because this dish is magnificent. So much flavour. An extremely well balanced dish where every ingredient shone. Next was the sunday roast chicken pizza. Absolutely superb, from the base to the topping. Again, perfect balance throughout. Deserts were delicious too. Tried the chocolate fondant and the banana cake and both were outstanding. Every element of each dish at Jensens has its purpose and everything comes together to provide a top class culinary feast. Then for the service. Our server was the best server I have ever had, anywhere in the world. Perfect balance of humour, attention and knowledge. Unsure of her name but bravo. Often servers can be overly attentive but this lady was top class at her profession and brought her A* game to our table. Magnificent and will be back. What a gem

A beautiful dimmed light, calm atmosphere were you felt relaxed as soon as you walked through the door. The staff were very quick and attentive always ensuring you, your beverages or food was up to your standards.

We dined at Jensens for my husbands birthday, unfortunately they didn’t have the 45 day aged Black Angus beef but were kind enough to offer an alternative steak for the inconvenience. All staff were well educated on the menu and individual meals We thought that was very professional. The food was to die for! My favourite cocktail would be your go to espresso martini but I tried a new one “The Fluffy” and wow this definitely was a new found favourite. Dessert was incredible as usual love the Sticky Date Soufflé it just melts in your mouth and to come with our dessert was a beautiful birthday dessert.

We were yet again pleased with the service, staff and food. We can’t wait to dine here again.

A leisurely lunch with my partner. The menu / food selection was excellent; the waiter service first class; and overall a good day out. Highly recommended.

Hard to fault. Service was amazing. Plenty of well trained staff on the floor. Food from ordering to table was prompt and delicious. The dry aged steak was phenomenal with the condiments plate, smoked salt and jus. PB and choc fondant dessert probably my fave but the sundae was solid too! Karela village is an odd fit but it works!

This superb restaurant has all the attributes of high end eatery, lovely indoor atmosphere with a great professional staff. Meals are just mind blowing, full of flavours and creativity, can't recommend enough!

It’s been a while since we visited and the food was still lovely but the service from our waiter Will was amazing. He knew the menu and was happy to assist with our wine selection. Great food is always expected, the exception service is what will bring us back.

It’s been a while since I have eaten here but was ver pleasantly surprised by the friendly and professional service and delicious varied menu. Would most definitely recommend this bright and breezy venue.
The prawn linguine and banana pudding with hot butterscotch sauce both excellent.

Went to Jensen's yesterday for a 40th very happy with atmosphere, table, service and cleanliness. We had 5 children under 6 and they helped make the kids feel welcome even when running around a bit. Could not fault food every dish 10/10. Would certainly return.
