There was a funky smell that was not food when we got our lunch, but if I can set that aside, this is a solid sitting of Japanese cuisine if I ever had one. Delicious rice bowls, perfectly crisp tempuras and fresh sushis are all in offer. It perfectly balances out the Japanese zen with the wonderful hullabaloo of Karalee's tav next door (which is also one of my favourite pubs in town just quietly).

I had an absolutely wonderful dine-in experience at this Japanese restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and authentic, setting the perfect mood for a memorable meal. The service was impeccable and the dish flavors were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I've had better teriyaki chicken, BUT the beef skewers were an 11/10. And the service from the lady was great. Fantastic! Highly recommend.

I uncovered Kagura Sushi House by accident on UberEats some time ago and I have been severely addicted ever since. The Chicken Katsu Curry is absolutely delicious.

The curry is clearly made with the beef dish and contains little (or sometimes big) tender chunks of beef strew throughout the sauce. This was a welcome surprise and explains why the curry has such depth of flavour. I personally am a big fan of this surprise, but would recommend noting it on the menu as some people do not eat red meat (as seen in a prior review). This does not detract from my rating as personally I find this to be my favourite thing about the whole meal.

I will also note if ordering takeaway the order is thoughtfully packed so the chicken remains hot and crispy, and is prepared at Olympic speeds. All this and affordable too. I’m really glad I found this place and can’t wait to visit in-person.

Been back here after 2 years. New management I think, such fresh shashimi. Quick service, great bento boxes and their tempura platter is nice too.

Amazing food! Very good service and the shusi are all fresh. Recommend the TaTaki beef my favorite and the Tempura Udon also super yummy! Don't miss it! 🤩🤩

Editing my review as the sushi on the train has improved significantly and it’s now amazing! I also recommend the food on the menu, everything is delicious. I also liked that it is a BYO venue! Went on a Friday night with a girl friend, we seated in the bar - it was lovely!

Lovely little Japanese restaurant my wife and I chanced upon one evening. Wel comed us in even with my wife's wheelchair. The sushi train had a good selection with the chef preparing it in full view. Authentic Japanese menu and food and willing to bend the set menu to our likes. Lots of items in the set dishes(Bento box). Prices competitive and steady stream of takeaway customers and ubereats. Pity that there weren't many inhouse diners as I think it was perfect ambience of being in Japan ,down to crockery and cutlery. !!! My new Japanese go to restaurant!!!! Aesthetically pleasing and delicious fresh food. Had to take away for my sons who didn't come with us.

The quality of the sashimi here is excellent. The teriyaki chicken set had an excelent flavour and pleasantly creamy yet firm mouthfeel.

The sushi train, though cheaper than places like Tao is a bit overpriced for what they offer. Recommend ordering off the menu.

Lava Roll is the best! Friendly staffs, fresh Ingredients!! Definitely will order again.
