Hawks Nest Motel

Our family of 3 spent Easter holiday in this lovely motel. Room was so clean and tidy, our room can over look the pool, and the pool always clean and beautiful. It is so nice to wake up in this quiet place. I have been to a lots of hotel and motel, and 100% sure this is one of the best we ever been, the reception Michelle and her team is so helpful, I can see how much they care about their customers and their business, definitely will come back again because of their service.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. Originally booked for 1 but they advised of a flash sale to stay an extra night and so glad we did. What a great place to wake up!! So peaceful, and a very comfortable bed everything you need in the self contained room. Perfect location.

Excellent customer service, good location, the rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you need, even our favourite instant coffee and the beds are comfortable with a good choice of pillows.
We can't wait to come back.

Fantastic value for money. Simple, clean comfortable, quiet rooms with extremely helpful staff. Just a minute from waterfront park kayaks and a quick drive (or 25min lazy walk) to the beach.
The pool in this place is an absolute gem as well. Next time I go up this way I will bring goods for the BBQ and make a night of it.
While it's not a luxury resort, our quick stay there felt like a true holiday

PS: buy the locally harvested honey sold there if they have any available. It is superb.

What a little gem of a place to getaway. We booked the family suite which was huge and the best room to stay in by far. We ate breakfast on the Balcony with a water and pool view, we loved the big corner spa, and I must say, this is the CLEANEST place we’ve stayed in a long time which is really appreciated. There’s also separate bins for recycling - so good! You never see that in other hotel rooms. We’d just stayed at Oaks Salamander Bay for the previous 4 nights and it was so nice to stay at this place afterwards as it immaculately clean and quiet in comparison, yet half the price. Michelle was so lovely and accommodating, she even helped me out with first aid after an injury to my foot the next morning, and offered me a free 12pm checkout when I enquired! Saltwater pool was perfect, and there’s a huge table and BBQ with everything you need. Beach isn’t far to walk and there’s hardly anyone at the beaches - great area to explore! We’ll be back - thanks for a great stay Michelle!

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a larger room which was a lovely surprise. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was simple, clean and the spa bath was a treat! If I travel to Hawks Nest again, I would re-book.

Hawks nest Motel has the friendliest and most helpful owners. Location is beautiful, right next to the lake where you can watch the sun go down. Minutes way from the beach where you can see the sunrise and also the dolphin go by. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with 3 children and it was perfect. It is huge with a separate kitchen where you cook up a storm. We were given complementary fresh milk every morning for our tea/ coffee.The kids enjoyed the spa. We are definitely coming back and already recommended to our family and friends.

Firstly, this Motel has the friendliest and most helpful owners/staff! Our room was essentially a small apartment with a kitchenette and separate bedroom. The balcony overlooked the resort- style pool, which was always spotlessly clean. The rooms were very clean with a comfortable bed and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Towels were replaced daily if you wanted. The location was very convenient to everything, and yet nice and quiet.

Great facilities, VERY clean and well equipped. Full kitchenette with sink, electric frypsn, plates and cutlery, bar fridge etc. Spacious, nice sunset view overlooking pool and over to beach. Friendly staff and generally an easy, great stay. Walking distance to beach and shops.

Great little motel in a fab location. Room was really clean and well presented, the bathroom was large with a great shower and the bed was extremely comfortable. Cafes, shops and bakeries just around the corner (almost) but the room has tea/coffee making facilities and a little kitchenette if you don't fancy a walk.
Nice pool and outside barbecue area; so well presented all round. A thumbs up from us Jenny!

Booked this motel online, having never before visited Hawks Nest. As a solo traveler I am very price conscious. This was the best priced establishment, and I certainly got excellent value! Although not new, my room was in perfect condition and fastidiously presented. Everything worked as it should, was clean and the bed very comfortable. I’m looking forward to returning soon!

This place is very clean , nice , quiet , affordable.

Safe parking, walk to River. Only 15 minutes drive to Dark point sand dunes( best hidden sand dunes in NSW).

Fantastic gem of a place to stay if you want a quiet, off the beaten track kind of place. Rooms perfect with basic cooking facilities, fridge, kettle etc. Spotlessly clean rooms, quiet area, stunning pool. Owner Di is very helpful and will tell you all the local attractions & best places to visit. Would absolutely recommend & we will definitely stay again when we visit Australia.

Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation. Some upstairs rooms have water views. The property is well maintained. I have stayed three times and definitely recommend.

A very warm reception, very clean rooms, close to many attractions and great for family vacations.
