I was having a problem with my overlocker & the team at My Sewing Supplies sorted it out & I now have a machine working better than ever.

My Sewing Supplies (MSS) is a one stop shop owned by the very lovely Bernadette and Ian. It beckons sewing enthusiasts and lovers of all things Bernina, fabric, notions and learning.

All the staff are competent and have an outstanding knowledge base between them; and they kindly assist you with any sewing queries you may have.

I would highly recommend any workshop run by Crystal (bag maker extraordinaire) and Vicky (rule work magician). Their teaching style is methodical, friendly and fun; and you work at your pace, no stress (phew).

I had been looking around sewing shops and online for a cord and pedal for an overlocker I was borrowing. By chance I stumbled into ‘My Sewing Supplies’ at Sylvania. They were honestly the nicest and most helpful people and fixed the overlocker on the spot, provided me with knowledge on how to use it, thread it and fix it. They showed me all the resources I would need and followed up with emails to help me get a user manual. Furthermore, I got the pedal and cord for the best price I’ve seen online and in store. Every single one of the people working in this shop were smiling, helpful and down to earth.

A big thank you to Ian and Bernadette who were so attentive and dedicated to getting me up and running on the overlocker that day 🤩

P.S Im a 28yr old female, new to sewing, and they made me feel really supported and not silly for the fact that I didn’t know much of anything about sewing.

I called the shop yesterday and spoke to a friendly staff member about repairing my sewing machine.
She was very willing to help.
Today when I came to the shop I was greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome.
I was serviced straight away. My sewing machine was repaired on the spot by one of the staff and the repair was very reasonably priced.
I told the staff member I was happy to pay more.

There was also a great range of beautiful patterned fabric in tones I like.

Wonderful local shop in Kirrawee - provides good old fashioned customer service. The shop is a treasure trove of fabrics, notions, haberdashery, books, pattern, classes, various brands of overlockers and sewing machines. The shop repairs all machines too. The device continues with machine basteing of quilts, all over quilting as well as custom quilting. Extremely knowledgeable staff and the owners themselves have a veritable wealth of knowledge between them.
