Had an amazing 3-day experienced ride during the Anzac weekend. Highly recommend for any experienced riders looking for an adventure. Rides were super fun with stunning sceneries. Horses were fantastic, super fit, and so well looked after. Izzy and Sam were super welcoming and really lovely to ride with! I will be back!

First time back in the saddle after nearly two decades. My beautiful Arab mare Sonata treated me so kindly. She knew I needed to regain my confidence. Sam was an absolute gentleman - letting me walk gently through the forest and kept me on track with some excellent encouragement and conversation.
I’ll be back - ready for a slightly more adventurous ride. Amamoor Forest is so beautiful, a perfect way to spend a Sunday. Thank you Izzy and Sam.

The most magical trail ride of my life!
I was lucky enough to get an unexpected solo ride with Isabelle and got to chat with her the whole way. Her love of the horses, the area and the business itself is so evident, she has a wonderful training philosophy and it's reflected in the horses' behaviour towards her and their riders.
I rode Rain, who was very relaxed but alert to me and her surroundings the whole way, no sign of lethargy or any mistreatment as I have unfortunately seen in too many trail ride companies' horses. I have a history of riding up to intermediate level but hadn't ridden for a few years before my ride, and I felt that Isabelle was able to assess my needs and pair me with a horse who was appropriate for my slightly rusty skills but also happy to trot and canter when we had opportunity.
Isabelle had great knowledge of the area, pointing out places of interest along the way and even had some stories about seeing rare wildlife on the trails. Emailing and communicating was a breeze, I felt I had all the information I needed to come prepared. The second best part after the ride itself was the photos, Isabelle was able to take some amazing shots of me on the trail and with Rain afterwards, and even a video while we cantered!
I immediately tried to book another ride for the next day, but of course, they were booked out. I will be coming back for another trail ride as soon as possible! Thank you again for the most wonderful return to riding 💕

Edited to add my favourite photo of Rain giving me a lovely cuddle after our ride 🥰

Very Highly Recommend !!! Ian and I (Carolyn) booked the 1/2 day ride last Tues. What a fabulous day we had with Izzy (who took over the business operations a few months ago) Absolutely loved every moment riding through the rainforest on my beautiful Arab mare, Sonata. Izzy has considerable knowledge about the Mary Valley National Park and Rainforest and we learnt a great deal while riding with her. I can't wait to come back and do the full day ride to experience more of the beautiful rainforest trails and views over Gympie. Thanks so much Izzy for a wonderful day, a great guide with such amazing Arab horses. See you again soon.

Pleasant and enjoyable ride through pine forest trails on endurance ride trained horses. The horses were fantastic, and gave the opportunity to trot and a smooth canter. Horses ranged from 5yo friendly up to experienced riders. Ride was around 3 hours, with cash only for payment. Email seemed to be the easiest way to book, as long as you're a day or two ahead as responses were generally overnight.

Definitely one of the best experiences of my life. I went on the 3 hour trail ride with my mother for her birthday and we were lucky enough to have two guides join us. Izzy and Sam were such a lovely duo- just your regular down-to-earth people which made the trail ride all the more better- they even worked together removing thick tree branches that were blocking the path. Izzy was extremely attentive to my mother’s needs considering she hasn’t done much horse riding compared to me and my mum really appreciated the fact that Izzy would often check in with her and accomodate her nerves. Despite my mother’s lack of riding experience, I was still able to canter up hills with Izzy which has got to be my favourite part of the trail ride considering you don’t get a lot of places that allow you that much freedom with their horses. My mum especially appreciated how Sam and Izzy did everything in their power to make the ride enjoyable for her by taking great pictures and videos of the experience to share with her friends and family - Izzy is also an exceptional photographer and covers all the angles which is perfect if you are after the best photo to capture the moment. All in all, it was completely worth it and you get a lot for the price of the ride. I will definitely be back soon just to see Izzy and Sam again for a trail ride.
Much love from Adelaide xx

Loved every minute of this relaxing and fun trail ride. Thank you Izzy and Georgia for being so lovely and helpful with our lack of riding experience. You both made us feel so comfortable on our friendly horses and we can't wait to come back again soon!

Wonderful half day ride through rain forest with Izzy. Izzy is the new owner and is absolutely brilliant. Izzy is professional and bubbly. She gave great commentary and for beginner riders actually gave some instruction and was a lot of fun. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended!

Amazing experience from the word go! Arrived and met our guides (Corrine and Mel) who are super friendly. They introduced us to our ponies, kitted us out with gear and water, and made us feel very welcome.

The ride itself was in the nearby Amamoor State Forest. Scenery was great - lush forest and a stream.

The ponies had nice temperaments and were easy to ride.

I highly recommend Mary Valley Adventure trails and will be returning for another ride soon!

What a great day! Lizzy took note that it was my first time on a horse again after a bad accident 20 years ago. She selected a quiet horse, for an 81 year old, and invited two other ladies to join our three hour ride through the forest. Much thought for care and safety! Thank you Lizzie. I'll be back!

The best trail ride I have ever experienced. The horses are beautiful, the staff are amazing, the scenery is exceptional. More importantly though you actually get to ride ! Not just walk. We will be back.

We just went on a 3 hour trail ride through the rainforest. It was such a fun thing to do. We were mostly beginners and loved the experience. They are a friendly bunch. Very down to earth, accommodative and knowledgeable about the area. The horses were great, so relaxed and easy to ride. The saddles had this extra easy bar to grab onto for extra safety. We had a couple of little trots / canters along the way. The national park / forest really is a special place. Highly recommend to anyone and we will go back.

We went on our trail ride through the rainforest which was so beautiful and it was fantastic. The horses were great. Jet was a very experienced trail leader and we are also experienced riders and he allowed us plenty of opportunities to trot and canter. For those that want to go on a ride you will not get better then this, regardless of your level or lack of experience.

What a great place!
Went on a half day (approx. 3 hour) trail ride a week ago. Had beautifully trained horses, nice knowledgeable guide and a beautiful scenery to ride in. All for a fraction of the price compared to other places in the area!
As an advanced rider signing up for a ride along with a beginner - we were not disappointed. Many places limit groups that contain beginners to a walk-only ride (which usually leaves advanced riders quite bored) but not here, as a regular rider I was allowed to take the lead and have a nice canter/gallop in front of the group while the beginners also got to experience a controlled trot/canter while still in a safe environment. Would definitely recommend!

One of the few horse trail rides in QLD that I have actually enjoyed. Staff was amazing, friendly, knowledgable, relaxed and very welcoming. I really liked that they let the more experienced riders go for a trot and canter. The horses were all so calm and easy to ride. Apart from that, the ride itself was really good. The views in the rainforest were simply great and the temperarure was very pleasant considering it was the middle of Summer. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back here!

I took my daughter and her two friends horse riding at Mary Valley Adventure Trails for her 12th birthday, we loved it! Graham and Corrine were friendly and helpful and the horses were very well behaved. The ride through the forest was beautiful, thankyou!

I had the best time riding with Mary Valley Adventure Trails. The horses were well trained. That is, they were calm but totally rideable. These are not your old fashioned walk in a line horses - you can actually ride them. But they are also calm and without that pecking order and kicking you get with some trail horses.

The ride itself was so pretty. We saw lots of butterflies. Our guide was a local knowledge legend! I learned so much about the trees, native fruits and history of the places we rode (both Aboriginal and European).

I can’t wait to go back
