GG's Ranch & Retreat

I would like thank Anthony and Cas for letting us stay at their beautiful property. We had an amazing time connecting with the horses and the beautiful atmosphere. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the property, it looks even better in person. We felt very relaxed the entire time. Picture perfect views in every direction. can not express enough how much we enjoyed this. would 10000% recommend, absolutely privilege to learn horseman ship from these experts. I have never experienced anything else like it. We felt very welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived. We will be back again!!

This ranch was a fantastic getaway! Our family of 4 absolutely loved our stay with the peace and quiet plus awesome history of the cabins / property. If you are a lover of rustic cabins with that welcoming vibe and country life this is the place for you. In regards to GG’s horse experience, Cass and Anthony’s knowledge of horsemanship was next level. I highly recommend spending time with them and learning from some true masters in the horse world. They are both very welcoming and lovely people to talk to. Overall I can’t thank them enough for a great few days!

We had a family weekend escape. It was so lovely to getaway into nature and enjoy the serenity their property has to offer. Cass and Anthony were lovely hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed the horsemanship experience they offered. We also enjoyed massages at the property that they organised for us which was such a treat. Will definitely be back again soon :)

Finding this gem was an absolute treat. Lush surrounds give this place the feel of stepping into another world and time, our own private Narnia. Visited this place with two other families as a Mum and daughters getaway, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot. The original, revamped pioneers cottages have a quaint, cosy feel with exposed log walls and spacious verandahs, but we girls were delighted to find well-appointed, modern bathrooms and kitchen, creature comforts were not lacking. We profited from the brilliant outdoor dining area and fire pit (complete with fairy lights for just a hint of magic). Tony, the Owner, treated us and our kids more like family than first-time visitors, and his horses were the most gentle and trusting around. We naturally fell in love with these beautiful animals. The girls benefited from Tony's extensive knowledge of natural horsemanship and enjoyed every second of the learning experience. Gripes: No stay is long enough. And be prepared for the inevitable: 'Mummy, I want a pony'.

Our family of 5 plus dog enjoyed relaxing here for 4 days. The dog loved running around and swimming in the dam, or teenage boys liked the privacy of their own spaces and our daughter loved her first ever horse riding experience! We played board games and watched movies at night and lit a fire in the outdoor fire pit. Anthony and Cass’ place is lovely and peaceful. They’re the perfect hosts. Highly recommend staying here!

Can only give 5 star review as that's the only choice so maybe I need to review more than once. Cannot recommend GG's enough. Wonderful place and hosts. Took our 3 dogs with us. Best Xmas ever!!!! Didn't even put the TV on. Great facilities, clean and everything you could need. Went for a horse ride with our fabulous hosts, may take our own horses next time. If you've been thinking about getting away and relaxing then go here!!!!

Staying at this Ranch was the most incredible holiday I have had in a long time! The cabins are so unique and special. The grape vines that curve around the cabins are so beautiful. The views are spectacular and The horses are so calm and gentle, it’s truely a one of a kind experience. The hosts are so accomodating and warm. 10/10 stay will definitely be back again! We have been here 2 times before and it’s the best time every stay. Xxxxx

Serenely Beautiful. Superb water view. The only sound is nature. The only time you see anyone else is when the owners walk the horses about 150m from your huge deck. If you are on the deck, they will wave and keep walking, but if you start walking down towards Anthony and Cas, they will pause for a chat or to answer any questions you may have.

My wife and I stayed at GG's for 5 days last week with my parents, and will definitely be going again!

The so-called Cottage is in 2 parts. The Main Cottage, and (what we call) the Hogwarts Tower. Both are made from huge hardwood logs for the main structural posts & roof supports, and what seems to be hand-split timber external walls, all held very securely together with double runs of very thick Galvanised iron.

When we drove in through the 2 gates, across the causeway, and up to the "cottage", it looked like an over-sized shack crossed with a shearers' shed. I said to my family "Sorry if I have made a mistake in booking this"...

Then we went inside the Main Cottage.

Perfectly clean, modern, decent fridge&freezer (perhaps 450l), good stove and oven, WiFi, Air Con, microwave, excellent shower easily big enough for 2, and the water pressure to use it, plenty of insect screens, pressure booster on the clean, clear, lovely tasting Tank water, TV and fans as well. All this in the modern interior of what would certainly be a Heritage-Listed building if it was in a city!!! Mind you, this is still a Farm Stay, so don't expect Palazzo Versace, but it is great.

Next we went to Hogwarts Tower. We did this by walking 6 feet on the deck, up about 4 steps, then in the door (all under cover).
The whole look of the tower is again deceptive. From the outside it appears frankly a bit spooky, but inside, it is cosy, roomy, comfortable and charming. Beautiful floors, rock-solid construction, a King-size iron 4-poster bed, exposed beams, AC, WiFi, kitchenette inc small fridge, lovely little second-floor deck with great views, and downstairs is either a sitting room with sofa or a bed for another couple!

Outside, there is a fantastic area for a fire, with a roof, rocks surrounding the fire area, and log seats & tables which you can use with the cushions from the lower level deck, as well as a huge picnic table, and yet another semi-enclosed area with bench seats and another table, all of which are made of huge logs, and covered by rustic (but sound), rusty metal roofs. Awesome ambiance!

We were there during a couple of pretty decent storms/downpours, had zero leaks and felt totally safe.

My 84-year-old Dad drove us for this wonderful stay, and even after a storm, during a shower, there was no problem getting in and out in a front wheel drive Corolla with 4 adults + luggage aboard.

From the authentic cabins to the equine experiences - it was a relaxing break for the whole family. Anthony & Cass were excellent hosts that made us feel at home from the moment we drove in - we'll be back!

Came up here with my partner and it was the best Airbnb/holiday place that we have ever been to. The environment is so Devine and peaceful to just stare at on the couch outside or from the balcony and the animals are so kind and friendly and they’re pet friendly too! Gorgeous lakes to wake up and look at. Truely great experience. Couldn’t recommend the hosts and this stay enough.

Perfect spot for a romantic weekend away surrounded by beautiful hinterland scenery. The cabin is lovely and has a very relaxing vibe, and you can even bring your pets!

Great place to unwind. Surrounded by a natural spring with bird life, this place is unique. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a calm and relaxing retreat.
