The service was fantastic, super nice and welcoming. The server explained drink options that best fit what we were eating. We got the chefs best option it was $90 but it was definitely worth it.
We loved the food and we were so full when we left. Definitely recommend going if you want Asian fusion food and good drinks. Our total was $244 we got the Chefs Best, 180ml Sake, mocktail and a cocktail from their specials. All of them were delicious!

I had a great dining experience in Lilo, the atmosphere there and staff service was really impressive. My friends and I ordered the feed Me Course. To be honest, everything from the taste of the food to the presentation was great, and the desserts at the end were delicious as well. I think Lilo Tang is one of the best Fine Dine restaurants in Canberra. Would be back again.

Stepping into Lilotang, you're greeted with modern decor and an ambiance that strikes the right balance between lively and intimate. The music plays at just the right volume, allowing for personal conversation while muting the chatter of neighboring tables. A highlight of the setting is the digital specials board, projected on the wall with animated art, adding a unique and contemporary touch.

The Tasting menu at Lilotang offered an intriguing journey of flavors. Starting with Oyster in yuzu sorbet and spicy ponzu, the meal was off to a promising start. The salmon and miso eggplant were particular standouts, each bursting with flavor. The slow-cooked pork with miso butter and crispy Brussels sprouts were satisfying, though the chicken thigh skewers left a bit to be desired. The dessert, while tasty, proved a bit challenging to share among the party.

The drink selection was pleasant, with a soft and nice rosé and tasty mocktails, even if they were not explicitly paired with the meals.

Service at Lilotang was adequate but faced some inconsistencies. An allergy concern within our party was initially dismissed, despite prior notification, but eventually handled with persistence. This hiccup did slightly mar the experience.

The pricing for the Tasting menu seemed fair for the diverse and interesting flavors offered. The restaurant's overall cleanliness and sensory ambiance contributed positively to the evening.

In summary, Lilotang offers an above-average dining experience with some highlights and minor shortcomings, resulting in a rating of 6 to 7 out of 10. I'd recommend a visit if you're in the mood for an explorative culinary experience, but there's no rush to make it a regular spot. The charm and flavors are there, but a few refinements could elevate the overall dining pleasure.

Overall good. Friendly service and atomsphere. Food is good on average, but size not satisfying. Only one item disappointing: the salmon nigiri w crispy rice. The rice is a block of cold deep fried rice, with rock-like hardness, not even edible. It's not pairing well with a slice of soft fish as well. Really awful design of this dish. Other products are very good, simple but tasteful.

Been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint ! Fusion flavours are delicious, as you'd expect, style is similar to Lazy Su and Akiba.

Well executed dishes, all elements of the dish are balanced and just delish ! Rin was very warm and friendly, and gave great food recommendations too.

Gonna have to come back to try other dishes 💙

Kilo tang was a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere and great vibe. Staff were attentive and super knowledgeable about the menu. We got the standard Feed Me menu which was super generous and really taste..

Definitely try this but if a la carte is your thing, the salmon is a must! Thanks for such a great night. Must try Canberra foodie experience

What a great dining experience! We are celebrating an important date here. The staff are just hospitable and kind; it was such a joy talking with them. We ordered the Chef's Choice combo. The attention to detail in the dishes is quite outstanding. The chef made common Japanese dishes like yakitori and kingfish sashimi stand out in taste. The short rib and karage made us wonder how they are cooked. We enjoyed our time here very much. Will be back:)

I went with my partner sometime last year for dinner. We got the set menu for 2 with an additional duck breast sukiyaki. The food was divine. The scotch fillet and pork belly were stand out dishes. The our waiter gave us an additional dessert on top of the 2 that came with the set (as he noticed we were undecided on which two to get). Highly recommend the restaurant and will come again when in Canberra.

Went here last night with my wife for the seafood tasting menu as part of their spectacular seafood month (or whatever it's called). All the dishes were amazing with the stand out being the tempura oyster with oyster ice cream, man this was amazing - definately give it a go. The staff were attentive and seemed interested in what we thought of the food. An all round great dining experience and for the price ($80 per head plus drinks) i think it was exeptional value. Will definitely be back again if I am in the area.

We had their lunch specials and it was superb! Service is top notch and the ambience is really there. Their scotch fillet is a clear winner and is perfectly cooked. Definitely a must visit.

A FANTASTIC dining experience from start to finish. A combination of the delicious tasting menu designed by the chef and the exemplary service provided by Nicky made this night for myself and my partner an absolute stand out. If we lived in the Canberra area we would be back weekly. Do yourself a BIG favour and check this Japanese joint out. I can't talk it up enough.

One of the best restaurants we have been too. Always a memorable experience. We dined on the 9 tasting dishes with sake (recommended by our wonderful waiter) and were delighted with the whole evening. Service was prompt (which was great as we were starving) and walked out very full. Cannot wait for the renovations to be completed ... we will definitely make the 3.5 hr trip to visit Lilotang!

Friendly but upscale restaurant, Lilotang is the best kind of fine dining. Great quality food with amazing flavour, though the portion sizes are a little small so you'll want to get sides. Staff were absolutely wonderful, so helpful and explained the menu with a smile. Can't recommend this place enough!

Had a really enjoyable experience here although my friend and I only came for dessert. The service was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm, cozy and intimate whilst at the same time sophisticated and modern. Would definitely return on my next visit to Canberra.

Loved the $65 set- sushi, pork belly, and steak being our favourites. Dessert was meticulously done, and staff service was excellent. One of my top restaurant visits to date.

I don't have any faults about this place! I loved the decor and the atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and one in particular was cracking a little humour now and then which I really loved. They also described the dishes very well to us (we had the Feed Me option) which was great considering we didn't really know half the stuff on the menu and we were trying someplace new. Definitely enjoyed myself here, I honestly regret not leaving a tip for all the servers who helped us. They were absolutely wonderful.
