Amama day-use area

I regularly visit this picinic area and is a very nice spot for a rest and somewhere to have something to eat. If I have one criticism it's the state of the wood fired BBQ's. The gympie regional council really needs to replace them with new ones and not the electric ones. Since the flood the water in the creek hasn't been very clear but that's understandable. Weekends can be a bit noisy with motorbikes using the picinic area as a launching ground to go ride in the forestry so I'd recommend visiting during the week. If you want to use the BBQ's be sure to bring firewood as none is provided and gathering firewood from the state forest isn't allowed under law. If you are visiting now in October be advised the public toilets there are out of order.

Fantastic facilities and cute circuit bush walking that is a bit of a scramble. Will be back again but my kids all under 10 handled the circut fine in 2 hours.

Great little spot! Bathrooms available. Nice walk to the falls - or a great, slightly longer loop that will raise your heart rate 👍

Restful (July) area, great for picnic. Loo facilities. with difficult loop track nearby up to Diamond hill lookout. Recommend going anticlockwise to save your knees.

Not a bad little spot for a picnic. Very quiet. Facilities aren't all that great, with a wood fire BBQ and rather dirty toilets. The walking track across the road is a must see, with a short walk to the cascades, or a longer loop for a challenging hike.

Nice picnic area on the creek, platypus viewing platform as well.

Its a nice spot to stop and relax the short walk to the waterfall makes this a special place.
