Amazing place! They make the best coffee I've ever had. The food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. They are dog friendly if you sit outside (ample shade from the umbrellas). We wound up there every day of our trip to Albany ;)

Perfect coffee every time, always consistently great food, young, friendly staff and pet friendly. Get in early on weekends and public holidays or during holiday times as it gets super busy. One of my all time favourite cafes in Albany, especially for breakfast. 😍

Had a good breakfast here, with scrambled eggs and French toast with coffee.

This cafe must have the best fish and chips that is available. The entire meal was superb and the salad was as fresh as you can get. Loved it and would highly agree it.

Staying local, we came to Bay Merchants for breakfast. And we weren't disappointed.

The coffee was excellent. Short and strong. And the breakfast was tasty too.

Amazing breakfast delicious. Coffee best in town. GF cake offerings excellent. Staff super friendly, helpful and quick. Love that they are open earlier than anywhere else or we would never have stumbled on them. Thanks 🙏 BM team we will be back.

We enjoyed an early morning coffee and cake. The service, atmosphere, food and coffee were all great. I couldn't fault them. If there was one thing I would improve, it would be to heat the coffee shop up a little, although I can understand why this would be difficult to do with a large open door area.

We would definitely come back to have meal on our next visit to Albany.

Had breakfast here and the breakfast special (smashed pumpkin) was absolutely delicious! Wish that one was on the menu permanently. Amazing food and staff are lovely. Will come back again and again.

Lovely, secluded location for a fantastic late afternoon coffee. Many thanks to the staff who were most attentive and obliging in getting our order right. There were a couple of special requirements which they attended to - and then checked on us to see if we were happy.

Good coffee, great service and dog friendly. What more could you want ?

Good coffee. Laid back atmosphere. Good range of cakes, pies, jams and condiments. Opens 6.00am, serves nice breakfast and lunches.
It also has a range of takeaway wines.
(Wines not served with meals)

I travel to Albany once or twice each year and make this gem of a cafe my local when I’m in town - great coffee and great atmosphere. They open super early which is handy too!!
