Yen Yen Chinese Kitchen

Came here recently for a quick dinner. I didn’t really enjoy the food when I tried it long time ago. But they must have done something differently because the recent reviews are promising, and our experience proved them right!

I really really enjoy the Bak Kut Teh. It’s packed full of flavour. One of the nicest Bak Kut Teh I had in Perth. And its served over a candle to keep it warm throughout our meal time. Absolutely delicious and I highly recommend this.

Our other dishes were nice too. You can tell that the chef knows what they are doing. It was cooked nicely. Tasted fresh. Decent flavours.

Service was quick and they were quite attentive and friendly too.

The only thing to be mindful was we think serving is slightly smaller than expected. Me and my wife shared the Bak Kut Teh, Garlic Vegs and Peking Spare Ribs.. and we were still feeling hungry after. Either that or we were just hungry or food tasted so good we wanted more… or combinations of all those!

Regardless, we were happy with our dinner and looked forward to returning again!

An amazing place to have a quick bite, or a delicious tatse of Perth Malaysian dishes. We ordered the combination fried kwayteow, chef's special beed brisket clay pot and the crispy skin chicken with vinegar sauce. The taste was immaculate, and just right. Highly recommend to anyone in the Southern River area. Owner is very nice, and service is fast. Well dserved 5 star

Smoky charred beef fried kuey teow and salted chili chicken for today's lunch didn't disappoint us! Generous portion meals and definitely one of the best in the area. Highly recommend!

The food here was great but the team at Yen Yen were incredible! Our whole family came together after the funeral of our brother/son/uncle (obviously they didn’t know that). We put in an order for delivery but then changed last minute to pick up. We left some condiments behind at pick up - the team took it upon themselves to deliver the condiments to us after we had left without us requesting it and without extra cost. Such an astonishing act of kindness on such a sad day for our family was truly beautiful. And the food was amazing after a long hard day. 11/10 will be eating from here again.

Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared using high quality ingredients. The portions were generous and very well priced. Definitley tops the list of our go to takeaway when we feel like a guilt-free hearty meal. Highly recommended.

Absolutely, & by far the best Chinese meal I have ever tasted in all my 22 years in Australia.

This place is a fantastic and always provides great friendly service! I even bump into the owner at our local supermarket and she always says hello because she remembers me coming into her business.
The food is always great and enjoyable.

This is REALLY REALLY Good food. It was so fresh and the honey chicken had great consistency plus the Chilly beef WAS actually a “chilly” beef. Not over done but still that chilly tingle on your lips after finishing it PLUS, I don’t know how he did it but the beef just melted in your mouth, it was so soft and tender.

Nice small takeaway resturant, in somehow I just love the taste of their food, lots of other resturant’s food cause me super thirsty after eating but not Yen yen. Customer for near 5 years, I though I should write a review. consistently visit once in couple of weeks, always friendly staffs and make effort to say hi and chat if not busy……at last my fav dish, Ho fun and honey chicken, best in town

Small little takeaway, nice and tasty flavour to my likeness. Nasi Goreng was superb.

We went to Yen Yen Chinese Kitchen on a hot day. We ordered The Special Fried rice and it was so nice and tasty. Definitely top 3 places to eat. MUST TRY

The best fried rice ever!! Don't let appearances deceive you... it's not you average Caucasian style Asian. This is the real deal. Their food is to die for and they subscribe to Uber eats!!

Family owned and run little place, the food is always good and cooked fresh. Kids love it, especially the honey chicken and prawn crackers.
The lunch specials are very good value for money 👍💯🙏

Very good hot sour soup and fried kway teow.
Garlic prawns good also never had an issue with payment. They are very busy and can’t help that they need to take eftpos with them. Very good people also

Awesome customer service and outstanding food.

If you want Malaysian food, get yourself prepared for Malaysian experience. Despite what many have commented or reviewed, their food is actually really good. You get what you pay for, fair and square.
