Nestled in the heart of the Flinders Ranges, Mount Little Station and camping ground offer a secluded haven for nature enthusiasts. Priced at $15 per person per night, it provides a wallet-friendly escape into the vast beauty of the region. $20 Fee for firewood.

The camping ground itself is surprisingly spacious, offering ample room to set up camp without feeling crowded. While you can spot neighbors in the distance, the generous space ensures a sense of privacy. An added bonus is the proximity to a pizza night, just a 5-minute drive up the road for $25 pizzas – a tempting option if you're not in the mood for campfire cooking. Although it's uncertain if the pizza night is a nightly occurrence, it adds a convenient dining alternative.

Beyond the camping ground, Mount Little Station is strategically located close to walking tracks and lookouts, making it an ideal base for exploration. The staff's friendliness further enhances the overall experience, providing a welcoming atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the stay is the mesmerizing night sky. While you may not have captured many pictures of the location, the countless snapshots of the celestial display will undoubtedly become cherished memories. If I find myself back in the Flinders Ranges, Mount Little Station would undoubtedly be my choice, offering both a comfortable camping experience and the opportunity to immerse myself in the natural wonders of the region.

Camping holiday with van, stunning scenery, sunset in the Elder Range was a joy each night. Private campsites and good facilities. lots in interesting walks and drives and one of the best info packs we have seen. Great job Peter and Kellie. So close to Hawker it’s an easy drive from down south

Our stay in the Sunset Apartments was awesome. The welcome from Kellie was warm and helpful. The wood supply at the apartment was most generous. The Wednesday pizza night was a lovely social evening with fellow guests and staff. The apartments are private and secluded and, although small, are magnificently appointed. Kellie is well supported by her husband Peter, a real “bushy” who is very informative. Great stay, I’d go again.

We stayed in the dongas. Beds were super comfortable. We were a bit worried about being cold as the rooms have no electricity but it wasn't a problem at all. They were perfectly fine. Showers were hot and clean. Pizza night at the Tavern was amazing.

Stayed there in our van last week. Had a wonderful time. Meant to just stay 2 nights but extended. Katy and John were lovely. Also Pizza Night on Saturday with John and Ebony was fun. Went on the 4WD route, so interesting and informative.

Absolutely beautiful stay in the Flinders Ranges. The owners have made the expansive space feel extremely welcoming. Every camping site and corner of this property has a great view. Mt little Station staff were extremely accommodating and have clearly put in a lot of work to make this an authentic station stay. Make sure you're there on a Sunday or Wednesday as they put on a mean pizza night!!

Loved our stay at Mount Little Station. Stayed in the Sunset Cottages - magnificent views. Comfortable place as base to explore The Flinders Ranges. Looked after so well by Kelly- loved the pizza night- our German relatives could not believe the stars at night- felt they were so close. A very special experience.

Really enjoyed my one night camping trip at Mount Little Station. The views are stunning and the campsites are spacious and secluded. Johnny & Cassie (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) that work on the station, realised I was camping alone and came out to visit me and we shared some good laughs around the fire. Johnny tells me he loves roast lamb and Cassie will be getting her bike licence soon 😉. Looking forward to bringing my family here camping in October with there being lots for the kids to explore. Thank you!

I can’t say enough about this magnificent place ,what an experience our families had and My granddaughters have such special memories from their stay at mt litte station .The owner Kelly and her husband showed us the best station experience, feeding baby kangaroos goats, brand new lambs and then watching the hard working shearer’s shear the sheep .We finished off the day with a swim in the gorge near by and an open fire n bbq ! It was perfect x Thank you 😊

Fantastic place! We stayed here during school holidays and it was so quiet! Campsites were beautiful and secluded. The children enjoyed interacting with the animals (sheep, goats, camels, chickens, pigs) and there were also llamas and donkeys. Visited Mayo Gorge and did the 4wd track to the top of Mt Little. We will definitely be back.

We are a large group of friends who have been camping together for years. We love station stays as we aren't restricted to the quietness of a caravan park. Kelly and her family are very welcoming and relaxed, they love a good chat around the fire on their nightly rounds so they can get to know their guests.
The kids love the daily feeding of the animals around the beautiful property they have.
Have been recommending Mt Little Station to everyone who asks where to go and stay.

What can I say other than this place is excellent! Best experience ever. Has everything on offer, from stunning private campsites, luscious country side against the back drop of stunning ranges, to a tavern & pizza night (pizza's are delish, thanks Chef John), fab 4Wd tracks, gorges to visit, rock wallabies to see as well as Camels, Donkeys, Alpacas, Merino's, some special beautiful cows, & hospitality that is not often experienced. We had the best time & will go back in a heart-beat. So refreshing to see & husband & wife so passionate about giving you an experience of a life time. We'll be back!

Great for kids, with animals to see, pet and feed... Great for a little bit of relaxed 4x4, some easy hikes and challenging hikes to find rock wallabies on the Elder Ranges... Great toilets and warm showers after day hiking... We’ll be back!!

We stayed in the "donga" unpowered cabins, and we loved it. They are beautifully situated looking out to breathtaking views of the Ranges. They were comfortable, and very clean / well maintained.

It was our first outback experience and it was unforgettable. The campsite location was perfectly situated, and we look forward to returning with our children to hike, climb, and maybe ride those mountains where we slept at the base of.

The hosts and their staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming. We shared a lovely meal and had many laughs. Lots or great stories to be heard.

The 4WD climb to the top of Mount Little was filled with great views and lots of 4WD excitement. We experienced a bit of a dust storm in the morning before clear skies. At the time we reached the top of Mount Little, the dust storm was just beneath us. We wrote our names on a rock, and placed it on the pile with all the others.

Well done Mount Little Station, we look forward to returning

A great spot, the owners have put some great work into this place. The facilities are superb - Camp Kitchen is well setup and the amenities are clean and maintained. Plenty of walks, wildlife and amazing views of the landscape.

Short drive off the Highway on a well maintained unsealed road.

One thing to note the Camp sites are quite exposed to wind.

We will definitely re-visit Mount Little Station.

What a great stay at Mt Little Station.

The host, Peter and Kellie are lovely!

We did some walkings to a lookout point and to Mayo Gorge. The 4WD track to Mount Little is great to see the sunset with a bottle of wine!

I recommend everyone to stay here for a few nights!

Lovely walking trails and they let you drive and explore with no encumbrances. Kelly and Peter are excellent hosts who give you lots of info to help decide what you want to look at.
