Flinders Bush Retreats

SO. BLOODY. GOOD!
We camped on number 4 site for 1 night and it was a beautiful time. Secluded, away from others, and completely in the bush with some of the most amazing shade provided by the river gums.

Definitely take a stroll if you stay.
We found a small hill to the S/E of camp 4 which was small enough to only just break a sweat but high enough for some incredible viewing.

We also got to view the morning activities of a group of goats.

Around the creek from camp 4 to the N/E there was this huge beautiful rock face that made for some nice photos too.

The homestead was very roomy for our family in a serene, quiet, picturesque location not far from Hawker.
The owner Sharon was very friendly, helpful and hospitable.
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for accommodation near the Flinders Ranges.

Camped over the Easter long weekend and still got a secluded paradise. We pulled up at site 1 to a beautiful creek side campground that was quiet and serene. There was a track nearby but barely saw any of the other campers. They provided an easy to follow guide to their 4wd track which had incredible views and an array of wildlife.

Willow Waters camp sites are a prefect quiet get away. Beautiful location to camp by an ancient creek bed in the Flinders. No one to be seen or heard from our spot nestled amongst gums and red mountains. Loved it.

Stunning country. Magical star filled skies, enjoyed with an open firepit. And lots to explore in Willow Waters Gorge. The kids loved the place, swing set outside a definite bonus. Sharron our host was so friendly, accomodating and authentic, thank you!

We loved our 3 day stay in the Eco Tent. The facilities were excellent and The Willows Waters Gorge location was secluded and beautiful and the view just stunning. We experienced a variety of weather conditions but the tent was well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sharon was an extremely friendly and helpful host.

Wow! We were looking for something a little different to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and found the most PERFECT location with Flinders Bush Retreat Eco tent. Upon arrival your host is so welcoming and then you see your accommodations. Everything is just perfect. The eco tent is styled beautifully, and the view is just stunning. Bush walks, a 4WD track and a glass of wine by the fire pit watching the sun set and then the amazing stars in the sky, we didn’t want to leave! A stunning jewel in the Flinders Ranges. Can’t wait to visit again.

We have stayed in many self catering establishments all over the UK and Europe as well as elsewhere in SA and The Quarters is without doubt the best equipped accommodation we have ever come across.

The interior is beautifully designed to "bring the outside in" with clever, stylish use of classic wood and stone in the furnishings. All of this is brought together in the most comfortable modern facilities.

It was a pleasure to chat with Allen and Sharon about the history of their homestead and learn more about current farming practices in this unique area.

The children really enjoyed feeding the animals, collecting eggs and took great pleasure in the freedom of having the outback as their back garden.

What a great place to get back to nature. We stayed in the eco tent and had a fantastic time. When you drive into the gorge where the tent is located you feel like you are the only people on earth. The tent and it’s ammenities were excellent, a true camping experience with the added bonus of a hot shower at night! We enjoyed the 4WD track which gave us some spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Plenty of wild life with birds and kangaroos. While it was a cold time of the year to go we had the fire and were rugged up at night under warm blankets. Brilliant for star gazing (great for shooting stars) we will be back when we need a break from the city grind.

Had a wonderful stay at the Flinders Bush Retreats. Beautiful sunsets, great opportunity for the kids to get back to nature and have plenty of time playing outside, easy drives to get to the big attractions in the Flinders. Very attentive hosts, would love to go back sometime!

We stayed in the bush camping area. Loved it. The 4 x4 track was amazing. Highly recommend taking your time with it and taking lunch with you. The track notes reveal a lot of the stations history. This place is a gem.

Glamping in the Flinders Ranges: What a great place to relax, soak up nature and to enjoy a digital detox for a few days. The Glamping tent is well set up with everything you could need for a few days away in the bush. Comfy bed, good quality linens and a lovely deck to enjoy sundowners each evening. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire in the evening roasting marshmallows over the fire and star gazing. A truely memorable experience

Amazing views, amazing host. In a dusty outback setting this has to be the cleanest house in the Flinders Ranges. Our family had a great stay.

Just the little getaway we were looking for. The tent had everything we needed, bed, toilet, shower, esky, bbq. So secluded yet close to Hawker. Amazing scenery and wildlife. Sharon, the owner, was an amazing host. Will definitely be back.

Amazing place to stay when visiting the Flinders Ranges. Make sure you leave time to explore the property by doing the 4wd self drive through the property. Awesome views out over the ranges.

Stayed with friends at Mt Scott Homestead for Easter 2022. The homestead is lovely. Clean comfortable and tastefully decorated. Sharon was a wonderful host who was helpful with advice on local attractions and information. We were pleasantly surprised with the freshly baked bread on arrival. The coffee maker with complementary ground coffee was lovely. Beds were comfortable. The sunsets were amazing, we couldn’t get enough of the outdoor spaces. The out door fire-pit was wonderful. The 4Wd track is a must if you have a 4WD, with amazing sites. We would like to come again and spend longer next time.

Wow ,What a great 3 days we had,very clean well presented eco tent.was great not having power or phone access,Perfect spot to propose to my wife to be and we will be back for our anniversary.5 stars NO WAY...More like 10 Stars.Thank you Sharon and family for all your hard work.Andrew and Sharon.

Wonderful self sufficient camp site by the river bed in the beautiful gorge. Great bush walks with fantastic starry nights around the camp fire.
