Super good value laksa was hot, tasty and filling for $12.

The soup was tasty and salty (not too much), and not too sweet so I enjoyed the entire bowl. For $12, be realistic and don’t expect a huge amount of toppings, but I thought the chicken was nice and fresh and the egg ribbons were also good. It came with extra seasoning so you can adjust to taste.

The Chinese tea ($2 for a pot) also had a nice flavour and didn’t go bitter.

The staff were very friendly and helped me choose a dish to match the cold weather. I’d definitely come back if in Perth.

The staff are warm and welcoming. Make good suggestions to when you're not to sure what you like. Large portions. My meal was amazing!

The pad thai came wrapped in egg and was fantastic! I also recommend the pork belly bao. Great prices, ingredients were fresh, and everything was amazing.

This one in Northbridge is situated among several other Asian restaurants at Roe St. So many selections but this one had the Filipino pork belly skewers. At $12 per order of three sticks not at all bad considering the way it was made.

I was recommended by a “friend” the service was friendly and food flavoursome. Most definitely looking forward to returning and sampling more dishes “if” I come back to Perth!

Very good service. Not bad Chinese food. Managed to cater to vegetarians easily. One of the more decently priced Asian food options in Chinatown.

Great food and service - would particularly recommend the crispy chicken with the chilli vinaigrette. Genuinely one of the best chicken dishes we’ve ever had!

What an gem of a place!! The food was absolutely delicious - the Katsu Beef Bao buns were to die for - hot, crispy crumbed beef, tangy salad, creamy kewpie and a soft soft bun. 10/10!
Could not fault the Pad Thai or the satay chicken either - piping hot, fresh and full of authentic flavor.
Brilliant service with a smile and exceptionally good value.

Amazing! If you are Singaporean/Malaysian and missing the cuisine back home, please be sure to visit Old Lane! Very very friendly staff, went on a Sat evening so it was very busy but had my book to read so that worked. Ordered the Pilipino pork belly skewers and Sarawak laksa. Skewers were amazing and they come with the vinegary dipping sauce! Heavenly and authentic. Hoping for a bit more Assam flavour to the Sarawak laksa but guess this is the more coconut-based version. Still really good nonetheless and the sambal ... I was just eating that by itself at the end. And to cap it off, it was only $15 or $16 for the whole meal! Definitely recommended!

Great food and really nice staff who are very attentive and on the ball when serving.
The price and quality of the food is great.
Given the proximity to other places this restaurant is easy to overlook but we'll worth the effort to find as it's a hidden gem.

Honeslty staff are beautiful and made us feel so comfortable, would definelty recommended this place… a lovely atmosphere!!

Hidden gem in Northbridge.

If you are looking for Malaysian Chinese comfort food, look no further. Old Lane is the place to be.

Duck curry was our star dish. It was thick and creamy, meat was cooked to perfection.

The other 2 dishes we ordered - kailan with roast pork and pork belly rice was equally as good.

Will definitely come back to try other dishes. Prices are decent.

The only downside is that their portions are a bit too small but you can always order more dishes !

Oh and they don't have dessert. Ice kacang or cendol for summer would be nice :)

With a reasonable price and great food that actually taste a little bit like malaysian hawker food, this place is the place to visit! The mee kolok was amazing, as well as the char kwey teow. I can’t believe I just found out about this place...

Great food at daily decent prices. You need to know that portion sizes will be a bit small for some.

Open late, which is always a bonus. Staff are friendly and helpful - but remember, this is not a fine dining establishment... service can be haphazard at their busiest times...

Food here is definitely more fun shared, so gather a few friends together - and order lots of food (around $20 to $30 per-head should do the trick)! No split billing though so be prepared...

We ordered dishes as we wanted them. Started with 2 entrees, satay and spring rolls-delicious Next Chiang Mai curry chicken noodle (most amazing flavours and best out of Chiang Mai!) a pork noodle dish, pork belly and greens and Lara lettuce cup. Plus corkage $57! The service was amazing, atmosphere great and the food incredible! So glad we found this gem.
