Best Beef schnitzel pub meal!!!
Not a mouthful of meat remaining on any of our plates. All quality meat, with a good balance of in house salad and tasty chips.
Friendly service, lovely cold drinks and surpassed our expectations.

Great night at the Austral hotel with some of the locals.

Under new ownership!!! Went to ride the old Ghan!! Not spectacular BUT….. Clean rooms- own bathroom 👍👍 friendly service. Give it a go-

What first might look as 'just a pub', quickly turns into an experience!

All friendly folks, ready to chat and very interested in your stories; the menu might look what you'd expect in a 'bar', but dare to look at the more 'exotic' entries as well... The 'regular' food is of splendid quality (try the onion- or calamari-rings; or BOTH!), but it's the rarer dishes that prove Austral Inn's chef knows business!

Add to this all a VERY friendly staff, and you have no excuse left NOT to visit here, should you ever get to Quorn!

We were walking back from the enclosed dog park (well equipped with all things needed for your dog) when we walked past the Austral Inn Hotel
A local gathering outside offered to look after our dog while we grabbed a beer.
Welcoming, hospitable and great conversation was had with all as we took in the big sky.
We were about to push off when we noticed the Special -Fish & Chips in paper bag …as I went inside to place my order, chef Tristan was filling a his container of beer ( for the batter )
‘Your going to make me the best Fish & Chips’ I said.
A big smile and eye contact was exchanged.
We are still talking about that meal!

My wife and I during our visit to the Flinders in June decided to go to the Austral, a Pub in Quorn for dinner one evening after a tiring day. The food and service were so good that we returned the next evening for another round. The ladies behind the bar were both light spirited and engaging making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. Each evening we ordered Schnitzels, one was the Outback with Quang Dong Jam and the other was the Chicken Parmi. Both were very large and excellent coming with chips and cole slaw. A bottle of red wine made everything perfect. All in all it was lovely and delicious and recommend the place highly. It should be noted that we ate at the Transcontinental across the street the night before, which also was delicious. The difference was the service. The Transcontinental took forever to get our meals. The Austral was ready in a matter of minutes.

On what I'm assuming is one of the busiest weekends of the year they managed to accommodate us for dinner at short notice. Meals were beyond generous in size, tasted amazing (as others have mentioned slaw was awesome, just like my nan usedto make) and great customer service. Thank you

Just had the most amazing kangaroo schnitzel, tender served with a beaut salad & chips, even included a nice coleslaw. The hubby had the fish & chip special & it hit the right spot.
The lady behind the bar made the bevies perfectly.
Got to watch the women’s AFL in a nice easy setting.
Could have easily settled in for longer than we could.

Great local pub with fresh food and cold beer. I have stayed here on a number of occasions and love it. A real pub with a family atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Just travelled here from, Darwin via Alice Springs and several others and after eating at a variety of venues this has absolutely blown me away the quality and value of meals is brilliant absolutely first class 😀

we call in for a dinner each year on our way to Farina restoration. food is excellent and good prices with a veggie bar included.

Fantastic people, friendly and helpful, great meal, I recommend trying the kangaroo steak or the barramundi for a bit of adventure, you will be pleasantly surprised. Great cozy country pub where everyone greets you upon your arrival. Why not stay a few days and get to know everyone!

Steak was cooked to perfection, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Do yourself a favour and head there for a meal and a few drinks. Definitely will be back.

We loved our couple of night here, stayed at the wonderful caravan park and walked across the railway tracks so surreal - the staff were sensational- the food was good honest pub food - but truly an iconic welcoming Australian pub

The Austral Inn truly is frequented by locals, travellers, and the occasonial pony! Lucky you, if you happen to be there when an equine visitor attends, but nevertheless just dropping by to hear the stories about who visits, and what's happening round town, or elsewhere for that matter, is a fine part of life in Quorn. Definitely book a dining table in advance but fortunately the Austral Inn also does takeaway (so you can take fish and chips or a pizza over to the Silo show!).

Couldn't ask for a better country pub, there was about 60-80 people & everyone got served quite quickly & the food & staff were absolutely fantastic, if you are in the area pop in and have a great meal peeps.😉

Austral Inn, fabulous old pub, great service, good food (salad & vegies bar included), comfortable rooms with heating & air conditioning, on suite bathroom. Continental breakfast included ( available 24 hrs). Mid price at time of post was $115/Night.

Great country pub food. Came last year, and liked it so much, we came again this year. Enjoyed it…
