Incredibly friendly service and the food was delicious, though maybe not super authentic (the donburi was served with pasta and wedges, see photo), which honestly we didn't mind at all since it tasted so good. Everything was tasty (we got the chicken katsu donburi and the vegetable tempura udon). There was limited seating (2 tables total) but since the food is takeaway there's nothing stopping you from ordering and then eating at the nearby railway park. Food prep was very quick. We didn't try the sushi but that looks good too. Overall great experience and a very happy surprise all the way out in Quorn!

I’ve been wanting to try the food here for a while, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken katsu bowl, and it was sensational. So fresh and tasty. Michies is a little hidden gem. I will definitely be back and recommend to my friends.

We stopped here on our way through to Port Augusta. The food is amazing! Fresh and delicious.We got there at 1pm and most of the Sushi rolls were sold so we ordered off the menu. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Arguably the best sushi I have ever eaten. Very polite friendly young man served us. The owner is a lovely Japanese lady. My wife ate the chicken and rice bowl-some of the best Japanese food we have enjoyed. A pleasure buying from here. A delightful find during our walk around town. Definitely worth stopping by! Michie's food makes me happy. I've had a lot of this kind of Japanese food, and this is easily the best I've had. High quality from a Japanese chef.

Unscheduled Stop in at Quorn on our way home to Adelaide dropped into Michies Kitchen had the Smoked salmon, teriyaki chicken & tuna sushi, absolutely delicious

Stopped at Mitchies twice for lunch. Chicken Teriyaki is the best I have ever had and todays selection of sushi rolls were just delicious. Mitchie is so welcoming I wish we had her genuine Japanese food back in our town, simply wonderful!

Tasty, fresh, juicy burger. Home made salty chips. Yum. Not what you would expect in a rural county town in SA. Check it out.

Fantastic authentic Japanese food for a very good price. We really enjoyed our lunch here. The food was delicious! It is a real hidden gem in Quorn. The owner and her family were very lovely. Very popular place as well! Got very busy at about 11:30am. Stop here for a very nice lunch and enjoy!

The chicken katsu burger is probably the best burger I've had in Australia.

Authentic and delicious Japanese food freshly cooked using local ingredients. A Japanese cafe is not something you would expect to find in little Quorn but Michie's food is obviously very popular with the locals and tourists alike. We will be back for more next time we pass through.

Had the most lovely meal here while visiting Quorn. The young guy at the counter was so friendly and the food was just above and beyond delicious. I wish it was in the town we live in.

I wasn't expecting to find a Japanese restaurant in the middle of a rural Australian town, and I was expecting even less for it to be the best Japanese food I've had in a long time. I tried the seafood okonomiyaki and the chicken katsu donburi and they were both absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back if I'm passing through Quorn.

Sushi is perhaps the best we have had for several years, and we have sushi regularly when at home in Sydney. Literally made on the spot. What a surprise in Quorn. The chef, Michael, uses only high quality Japanese ingredients. Range is limited, but even the classic salmon and advocardo is a clear step above other sushi i have had. Try the pickled ginger also.

Awesome Japanese pancakes. Seafood for him beef terriyaki for her. Seafood was super tasty and firm, beef slices were super tender. Great service from front of house too.

Great takeaway find in Quorn! Ordered the Pork Tonkatsu (Japanese schnitzel) and it was a delicious authentic dish, and very filling. This place is must visit if you yearn for more than traditional outback food.

We ordered seafood okonomiyaki, chicken katsu donburi and a few sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. And the service was very nice and friendly. Definitely recommend! 😊
