Doon Doon Station

For the traveller, this is a great stop. The camp kitchen is beautifully situated to catch a cooling breeze on a hot day providing a large area to enjoy. The roadhouse is well stocked and is open for dining with a good selection of food. The Doon Doon burger was enormous and delicious but I finished it. A great green oasis in the desert in this spectacular country of ours.

Immaculate campsite, and great food!

We stayed a night, had a burger , battered fish and the next day porkbelly. All tasted excellent.

The campsite itself is very well maintained , superb camp kitchen, amenities. Really good stopover spot.

Just a brief stopover to refuel. Coffee well made! Bought a great hoodie of Aboriginal design....Great price! Staff were warm, competent & helpful. Fuel was a fair price, considering next stop was MUCH dearer! Shall return next trip, & maybe stay the night

Excellent overnight stay. Large Powered site, grass, table & chairs. Clean amenities, small laundry. Good food at roadhouse right next door. Felt very safe, highly recommend.

Doon Doon station is a spacious park at the side of the roadhouse. It is busy mainly due to Fitzroy Crossing still being closed but good open camp kitchen, simple amenities perfect outback stop

Easily the best chips and bottled water in Doon Doon.

You wouldn't be surprised if this remote little Roadhouse didn't cater for your dietary requirements, but we were very pleased to find a delicious Vegan Burger that will now ensure a regular pitstop at Doon Doon Roadhouse. Staff are lovely too.

Great spot to stop after a long drive
At $35 Per night for a powered sight what a great price
The caretakers are awesome
And the food in the roadhouse is the best I have ever come across we had the roast dinner and ankyjer night the Silver Side both priced at $25
Also you have to do your self a favour and try the pork belly on a stick
We also used this as our base to visit Elquestro and Wyndham

Loved this place! A great place to stop if you don't fancy Kununarra. Lovely staff work at the place, fuel a fair price and brilliant burgers. Good camp facilities too, all in all an excellent over night stop in a tranquil setting.

Good road house with a variety of items great coffee and good choice of takeaway food

One of the best egg and bacon sandwiches we have had in our travels. Awesome barista coffee and wonderful friendly staff

This was such a great place to stay. Good value, lovely ladies running the place, well priced powered camp lots on lush green grass, tasty breakfast in the road house, clean functional bathrooms and laundry, and a range of interesting Kimberly themed books and souvenirs available for sale.

Best stay ever !!!

a few days before, the restarea was for free, now it costs $ 10 per car. But that does not matter.
The place is clean and big enough. There is a kitchen with all the necessary utensils ... Wild horses sleep right in front of your car. But the best thing about everything: the people there.
Such a friendly, accommodating, helpful service I have not experienced.
We wanted to stop much earlier, so I'm happier that we drove on until then.
I have this rest area recommended directly to others who have followed up this recommendation also.

Stopped here today very friendly and helpful service, the person who served us went over and beyond to answer my questions regarding food and my allergies. The premises were very clean neat and tidy, toilet area very clean . Very impressed overall and definitely worth a stop to support this business.

Guy who runs the roadhouse is a legend. Made the veggie burger vegan for me, and added more salad for no extra. And made everyone who was there at the time a fruit smoothie for free. Not staying the night but highly recommend you pop in and say hi
