It was a lovely 90 mins spent watching local history videos being shone onto the huge grain silos. All the while cooking and eating my dinner. The joys of an RV! 😁
Sound is via your car radio, just tune in.
The good thing about to see this in the winter is that it starts at 5.45pm.

Very informative and a cool attraction. It's on every night, check the website. It wasn't too busy so we managed to find a bench but I recommend bringing your own chair to be more comfortable and settle in for the show.

Great work by a visitor-friendly town. Very informative about the rich history of the region, felt like being at an old-time drive-in theatre but with better sound quality.

A fantastic and engaging sound and light show, highly recommend for anyone visiting Quorn to experience the talent of local artists and community who have put in a lot of effort to share important and historical stories. The highlight was Nunuku elder, Doug Turner’s, welcome to the area and inspiring segment to showcase the Nunuku people and surrounding neighbour’s spiritual connection to the land. Overall, a wonderful intro to the Flinders Ranges.

Definitely a must see, when visiting Quorn. A fantastic way to utilise disused structures, whilst still giving charm to the rural landscape. Just sit a while and enjoy the pictures displayed.

Really lovely experience, especially the last couple of films one about CWA of Quorn and the troupe movements and the second about saving the train line and celebrating 50 years of volunteering

Personaly I think more OZ towns should have a show like this. It includes stories of the town, indigenous stories, local area including Flinders Ranges. First part runs for about 60min, then a loop show of local pictures and art. There is a sitting area, bring chairs, bug spray etc. Also has a pert on all the films shot around here check out video.

A great show for learning the history of the greater flinders community! We came in late December and the temperature was perfect! A very peaceful place on a clear night when the sky is full of stars!

Free light show in Quorn every night, tune in to 87.6FM, very interesting and informative light show!
Bring a chair or park your car in front and watch it in your car. Definitely worth a drive there from Woomera! 😁

What an awesome bonus when we visited Quorn last weekend. We went to check out the Silo light show after dinner. A well informed presentation about the history of Quorn. Sound was clear, pictures were captivating. We found a log to sit on and watched the whole show. Perfect time of year to have a display such as this when it’s not too hot nor cold. Well worth checking out.

Excited to see the lightshow of Quorns history and the country women’s association on our only night in town. More silos should be used in this manner- we took a picnic and enjoyed the sun setting before the show started.

Great 1 hour show about the local area. Even if you go during the slow season I recommend taking cushions and sitting on the sleeper seats vs in the car.

Loved the light show. Luckily came to know about it from a brochure in Quandong Cafe.

A nice show with history of Quorn, their contribution to WWII, local artists art work & pictures. Welcome, Save water & WWII bit repeats for every 30minutes but rest are random and goes on for 3 hours.

Delightful, well presented display, reminded us of old drive in movies, tuned the radio onto FM station and sat in car. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend doing this.

I had read reviews before seeing the light show last night. Just amazing and so informative. Congratulations to all. And to the bloke who said in his review it was like being in a history class, no-one forced you to sit through it. How rude your comments were. 😒

Every town should do this! The show gives context and understanding to the whole region and makes you appreciate the town for the community spirit and achievements that has made the town a success story. We’re staying for longer to explore as a result.

A great experience. Was able to sit in comfort of car like the drive in and listen to the commentary they do over local Fm station. Great overview of the history of Quorn and local towns as well. Dinner beforehand at the Transcontinental hotel and maybe book beforehand as very busy on a Friday night

What a great idea! We visited at dusk so it was great to see the changing light. Amazing how they get a flat image on curved silos.
