Nelson Hotel

A small pub. Nothing flash. The hospitality shown by the bar staff was lovely. The meals, although only pub fare were very nice and well presented.

Absolutely unreal place with an unreal feed with unreal beer, and that is because of emily.
We are travelling through doing a lap of australia and we are super impressed. The bar has been so accomodating, and Emily has been so nice. She is the best person and very enjoyable to get to know. I would highly recommend coming here.
I seen some reviews on bad food and parmas but I can first hand disagree. Although quite expensive, our couple hour stay here was unreal.
I can only recommend you come here and indulge in the alcohol and conversate with Emily.

Cool place to have drinks around Nelson. The bartender and owners were very nice and stayed until we finished our drinks. This is a nice bar and has become my regular go to place from now!

Got a basic room for a dirt cheap price. Very comfortable bed. Would stay again

My parents have a holiday house in Nelson, and we all enjoy coming to the local watering hole here. The new owners are friendly and look after everyone well. The food is tasty and it's nice sitting outside when the sun shows up 🌞

Wow, ended up popping in for a few beers early morning,more than happy to help, ended up booking in for 12 that night for dinner, wow meals where amazing all hot and full of flavour, salad bar the bomb too. Great atmosphere at front bar with live music also on the Friday night we where there. Keep up the great work team. Thank you 😊

Best chicken schnitzel I've ever had in my entire life. Truly a worthy pilgrimage for the lovers of a good feed. Plenty of great atmosphere too. Friendly people. Amazing!

Great country pub, fantastic meal by the wood fire,
Accommodation is basic with shared facilities down the hall but EXACTLY what I was looking for, a very comfortable bed ,& steaming hot shower in an amazing part of Victoria

Came here the other day with the wife for lunch. The staff were so friendly, and it was really nice sitting out side to eat. We both had the chicken Parma's with chips and salad. Well it was amazing, The salads were so fresh and tasty, and the Parma's were the best. Ok the prices I must say were little dearer than normal but hey this is what you get in a little country town, they have to survive. Atleast I can say that it's worth paying for a great meal thou. Thanks Nelson pub, keep up the great job. 👍

Visited Easter Sun, booked as we appreciate how hat6d it is getting hospo staff in Melb let alone regional.
Meals were good, tasty and large serves. I didnt love the salad bar but who cares really. The chips were good and staff genuinely friendly and caring. Enjoyed my Salmon with garlic prawns.

Lovely place, very rare to find a coastal pub with such a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff at this level. The food was great and the cook very accommodating. The Parma was massive, perfectly cooked and delicious, the veggies cooked properly not mush and chips en pointe. Ate outside as the sun was out and we had the dogs with us. Highly recommend stopping and staying in Nelson.

Reason for 1 star on location is its in the middle of nowhere and that's why I went there if it were close by and convenient it wouldn't have been a holiday ,located on the Glenelg River with in walking distance to the ocean/beach the local pub is the heart of the town with the local store being across the road for all you fishing and snack needs ,bar staff are fun and great to get along with customer service is top notch , food and dining is great with access to a salad bar, meals are sizeable and well prepared. New years Day Entertainment was a semi acoustic show by the The GoSet

I just love these little Aussie country pubs!
Full of character, history, and friendly locals. We had a few drinks, met some friendly (and funny) locals, and had a very nice meal. Lady in the kitchen was taking orders, cooking, and serving, and we still had better service (ie: friendly service and didn't wait long) than most restaurants with many staff!!
Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
