Nelson Kiosk/Post Office

We love the Kiosk. The staff are friendly, they carry a good range of products and the food is pretty nice. They used to sell vegan icecreams which we miss but the hot chips are delightful.

Best ice cream, lots of yummy flavours. Excellent customer service, who really know their products. Grab an ice cream and a drink and walk outside the door right on to the riverside. Or take a short walk along the river to the peaceful park. It has a great play equipment for the kids.

My family and I popped into this place on our way back from Portland today (26th Dec 2023), we're from South Australia and staying in Mount Gambier, so we love going on long drives and finding different places to check out. We decided that it was time to get an ice cream after checking out the water front. This little kiosk is situated across from the water. The staff were happy and greeted us in a friendly manner, we totally enjoyed our ice creams on our way back to Mount Gambier.

The best fish and chips we’ve had in years! The crumbed Flounder is incredible - I don’t normally like crumbed fish but do yourself a favour and get it! Chips were also cooked to perfection! The staff are so helpful as well.

Saw everyone's comments so thought I needed to check out their pies and sausage rolls, I'm definitely not disappointed. Actually they ate the best pies and sausage rolls we've had ! Coffee was awesome too, especially drive worthy, up too 20min heat in those babies ☕🥧

One of my favourite stores. The food is amazing. Always fresh and served with a smile.

This little kiosk serves the best Australian food — I’m talking about your classic pie and burger when travelling the road. The homemade menu is exemplary. The burger with the lot weighs half a kilo, it literally has everything in it, including the fresh chicken fillet.

What a great little place to have some lunch. One of the tastiest pies I have had in years (home made beef and onion). The staff are very friendly and there are plenty of places to eat outside and enjoy the great views. The kiosk sells all sorts of other stuff including fishing gear.

The Kiosk has a bit of everything, from pantry staples, delicious take away food, fishing supplies and is the local post office. Friendly and helpful staff.

5 stars for the very good coffee. This place has so much potential with the river views. It would be nice if there was an under cover area to have your coffee and food.

Good coffee, great location by the river. I get the egg, bacon, hashbrown, cheese and hollandaise sauce muffin every Tuesday when I'm driving through working. Towers over anything from McDonald's. I look forward to going there. Good people.

Great place. Was a shame that I'd just had lunch before coming here. I wanted to eat the pies but was too full from my lunch. Being a pie expert I know how good they will be just by looking at them. Had to leave early the next morning so missed out again. Note to pies.... I'm coming back for you. And this time I'll be ready.

Decided to visit Nelson for a few days getaway. Discovered the kiosk pretty quick and omg we fell in love. Those pies and sausage rolls are the best I’ve had in a long long time. Can definitely taste the love! Even bought some home. We are coming back in august/September so keep those ovens warm! X

Just visited nelson and the Kiosk was a highlight. Brilliant selection in-store and the food was fresh and tasty at all times of the day. Not your regular general store, gourmet homemade pies and sausage rolls with the usual favourites too.

Dropped in here on a family holiday. We ordered three different sorts of home made pie and wow, they were incredible! Do yourself a favour and get one into you if you are in the area.

Honestly one of the best pies I've had in a long time, and such a beautiful spot on the water to eat it.
Absolutely worth stopping in.
