Black Rock Fish & Chippery

Our family have been going to Black Rock Fish And Chippery for over 12 years and each time the service and food are brilliant! Perfectly cooked fish, chips and crisp potato cakes. 😊

Recently moved to the area and I CAN ONLY COMMENT ON THE CHIPS which we have collected twice. Both times the chips were excellent and just the way we like them - crispy outside but soft inside. The medium chips is actually far more like a large for two and the second time we had a small portion. Same quality and an excellent size for 2 folk like us - I eat the most anyway!

We were very lucky to find this place, fresh fish , good potions and quick service. We all enjoyed the food very much.

After a very hot summer day at the beach I managed to get Black Rock Fish n Chips just before they closed. Staff looked exhausted 😞 I don’t blame them, it’s not easy standing behind the hot oil and hot plate all day. We really enjoyed our serving 👍🏼 Portions and value for money. Keep up the hard work guys ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tried this place for the first time and so happy to say that it's just good old fish and chips done right! So hard to find that now. These guys have nailed it and the service was also very kind and friendly. The batter on the fish was light, the oil was clean and the chips were perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. We will be back!

If you’re looking for some fish and chippies this is the place to go!! Awesome flake, crunchy batter while the fish is moist and delicious. As for the owner Miguel, a genuine legend! Love this place and everything about it.

Their grilled rockling was fresh and delicious, and I always enjoy their potato cakes, tasty and not greasy. Thankyou, I really enjoyed the meal.

This place is my second home. Quality food, at a great price. Their grilled flake is 10/10 and their chips are great and their servings are plentiful. A must visit in the black rock area.

Best fish and chips I've tasted in Melbourne. Always crispy, perfectly-cooked, fresh, without too much batter. Simple enough, but why can't they make fish and chips like this in the northern suburbs? Perfect place to stop off after a day trip to the beach.

Had the burger with the lot and did not disappoint. Tasty and HUGE - also bought a minimum chips which was $1.50. Cooked perfectly. Fluffy on the inside and and crispy and generously coated with chicken salt. Drool. Back to the burger, a classic Aussie takeaway staple; sad to eat the last bite.

The best grilled fish! Generous portions and delicious chips. One of the best fish and chip shops in Melbourne I think. Hamburgers are great as well! Highly recommend.

Amazing! Brought my kiwi grandma in (probably the most fussy fish and chip critic you could ever meet) and she also loved it. The place is extremely tidy and the man serving us was very polite and friendly. We will be back again

The best fish and chippery in the bayside area! The owner and the staff where so kind and thoughtful. Absolute go to as the owner Michael is so great. would have to recommend the lot burger, second to none. What a place!!!!!

Best Fish & Chips in Melbourne, bar none. Carefully sourced- get the rockling or snapper; you can ask for grille, or they have the true crunchy batter; the chips are excellent and they use nice potato that cooks softly; scallops, pineapple rings etc all superb. We miss this place. Still doing a brilliant job after 10 years, same people, just as good. BUSY place: ring ahead in Summer.

Looks like a slightly grotty typical local fish and chip shop and the menu is exactly that.
However, the quality of the food is amazing!.
You can tell because on a hot summer day the shop is full of customers with more queueing outside!!.
