Eclectic setup doesn’t detract from the wide variety of products, most of which fall into the premium category, fortunately, most things were reasonably priced. Helpful and friendly advice from the middle aged male staff make for an overall pleasant experience. Will continue to shop local over the big chains.

I visited Black Rock Grocer just before Christmas. Not my usual neighbourhood so was really pleased to discover a supermarket with a diverse range of goods, especially one which stocks all my favourite gourmet products and gluten free faves in one place. I also enjoyed the friendly service from Nathan, one of the owners. Will definitely revisit when next in the area.

that one young lad with the red hair, was remarkably helpful when it came to finding the capers. He stopped stocking the shelf to immediately assist me with a smile. Will think twice before shopping ANYWHERE else...

Great selection of wines. We came all the way down from Maribyrnong just to get Jack Rabbit wine. Great customer service by the owners, two brothers! thanks

Walked into the Black Rock Grocer and found everything I needed. Couldn’t find the taco seasoning I needed but the staff helped me out. Great selection of products at a cheap price

A great range of produce somewhat not found in other places in Melbourne. This place was clean during these COVID-19 times and offered amazing customer service. will be more than happy to return at any time.

Very upmarket shop with genuine macro and eco friendly goods. Wines are limited, but of good quality. Worth a look!
