Margaret River Surf School

My son, Cameron, participated in surf groms while we were on holiday.
We cannot praise the team highly enough.
The coaches were patient, kind and fun. My son loved it. He's only 7 and struggled initially. But, by day 3, he was much improved. I think it's important to give positive feedback.
You're doing a fabulous job.

we absolutely loved our private lesson with Jorge! he was very patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. gave us really good tips to catch waves and for safety. his explanations for surfing and riptides/flash rips were excellent. it was my first time surfing and my partners second, and we both felt taken care of. definitely recommend even for beginners!

Arthur our surf coach did a great job with our 3 kids in a private group lesson.
We had some very average conditions, but I wouldn’t shy away from these off days as the kids got a crazy amount of waves.

Very pleased, our kids have a new found passion for the surf again.

I recently had an amazing experience at this surfing school! Artur and Jorge were my instructors, and they were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also super fun and laid-back. Their guidance was invaluable, and the level of assistance and service provided by school in general was top-notch. I highly recommend this school to surfers of all levels – you won't be disappointed!

We had a private lesson with Arthur down at Redgate beach and had the most fun. His knowledge and expertise were second to none, and his tips to make standing up a little easier were so helpful. We would be back in a heartbeat.. to hopefully get better at standing up!

We had the absolute best time ! It was super easy to book a class same day if you get there around 10 am or book for the next day. The group classes go from 10:30am to 12:30pm. We had George and Luke as surf instructors for a group of 9. They did a really great introduction to surfing and helped us catch some great waves! If we were staying for longer we would absolutely book the course again.

Amazing surf school! We were looking for tips to transition from beginner to intermediate and Luke has been an amazing instructor. We learnt a lot about specifics to properly surf the waves but also about reading the waves, positioning ourselves, angle to pop up, etc. We definitely recommend this surf school which is very serious and your gonna have lot of fun!

Jorge and Jack are great surf coaches. They put in a lot of work and make sure that everyone has tons of fun while learning to surf. I booked in for the 3 day package. It was definitely worth it!

My daughter did the 3 day surf groms camp over the summer holidays and by the third day she was ripping! We love the fact that it’s family run and all of the coaches are friendly, supportive and attentive. We recommend the surf school to anyone who wants to get their kids started with surfing.

We had the most epic experience with Arthur - he was far and away the best surf coach any of us had experienced. Took the time to educate us on how to read the conditions and taught us some really valuable safety lessons. In the water he was hands on and helped everyone catch a wave! I'm a professional guide and I have been to a lot of surf schools across Australia and Arthur was hands down the BEST! Thanks Legend, hope to see ya again!

Great surf school for kids & adults alike. We booked private group lessons two days in a row, whilst on holidays, for our 7yo son and one adult.
Luke and Georges the instructors were super friendly and very knowledgable, and went the extra mile to get us to progress and enjoy. Thanks team! Great times!

Such a fun day! The best school in town by far! All the equipment new, good boards, and Jorge and Jack our teachers were super kind, they explained very good and took care us all the time! Super recommend!

What an amazing 3 days. My 5 year old daughter had an absolute ball. The grom surf camp helped her so much with her confidence, getting on the board and feeling comfortable in the waves.
We loved every second watching her in her element.
The coachs and were amazing with the kids making it so much fun and lady at the bus was so welcoming making my daughter feel comfortable from the very beginning. Highly recommend

I did a group lesson and loved it! Our coach Luke took us through the basics before getting us out into the water. Helped us all each step of the way and shared so many tips not just about physically surfing but also helping us learn to read the water/waves.

We booked a private lesson for two persons and had a great time with Arthur showing us the basics and giving feedback after each wave. Very patient and good tips, thank you for starting us off :)

I had a brilliant surf lesson with Arthur this morning! He was clear with his instructing yet patient and made it fun! And the beach was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend Margaret River Surf School!

Jack was a brilliant instructor. He explained beach safety really well and helped us achieve our goals very quickly. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Booked a surf lesson for my daughter and sister. Both really enjoyed the session and had heaps of fun. Would definitely book again next time we are down. Highly recommend.

My 10 year old neurodivergent daughter was lucky enough to be scheduled for a 2 hour session with Amy and Artur, and she had the time of her life!
My daughter is small, still learning to surf, and not confident with the waves in Margaret River. But Amy and Artur worked together to ensure so did not hurt herself or get badly dumped, and they explained to me how important this was when the child is still learning to surf, since a bad initial experience can risk scaring the child off surfing altogether.
The lesson with Margaret River Surf School was amazing value for money, and I am so grateful for the close attention and care that was given to my daughter.

I first joined a group lesson a few years ago and despite never having surfed before was getting up on waves almost immediately thanks to the great coaches. Since then I've been hiring boards and wetsuits from MRSS whenever I'm in town, and everytime the experience is great and I can't recommend them highly enough.
