Saowanee Thai Restaurant

If you have never been here, you are missing out! Entrees followed by Beef Massaman with coconut rice and Chicken Pad Thai were amazing! We will definitely be back to try some more dishes! I can completely understand why Saowanee was rated highly by other reviewers... great value, perfect food and lovely service.

My wife and I order here weekly, she has many food alergies and the staff are always very accommodating and friendly. Some of the best Thai I’ve had outside of Thailand.

The best Thai meal that I’ve ever had in Melbourne!
Casual vibe and tasty food, both dishes that we asked for was incredible, Pad Thai Chicken and Massaman Beef Curry (this one I would like to try chicken or with sea food) with coconut rice.
Super tasty, good portions (one more person could had dinner with us) and really good price.
You must check.

This is the third time I came here with friends, and we always come out satisfied. We always order the banquet menu, which has a bit of everything. The staff are also patient and courteous. I highly recommend this place.

Very welcoming staff, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is bubbly, but not too noisy.

THE BEST THAI IN MELBOURNE just make sure you ask to be seated away from the door if you don't like the cold and this place is always busy so you definitely want to book in advance. Satay chicken skewers are to die for. Great price too we usually get away with $100 or less for me, my partner and our child and that includes a couple of alcoholic drinks so really fair in pricing. Always comes out the same so u know you're always gonna get what you're craving.

Delicious and authentic Thai food

Absolutely the most delicious Thai food Ive had in Melbourne. 2 entrees and 2 mains all spectacular. Will definitely make this a regular dining experience.

My wife and I went there for the first time the other Friday night. Booked for 6.30pm when we got there the place was packed. Nothing fancy here but the service was great and the food was brilliant. Some of the best food I’ve had. Great atmosphere, taking friends back there.

Overall, the food we ordered were all tasty and 100% authentic Thai food. The Pad Thai tasted like the famous pad thai in Bangkok. Love the banana sticky rice dessert, I just wish they had the mango sticky rice. Definitely coming back to try the other dish they serve. The wait staffs were friendly and welcoming as well.
