Russ Cottage

This heritage building was built by our neighbours great grandfather, we were staying on their holiday property and the told us to check it out. A lot of history.

A wonderfully restored piece of history, giving everyone a look into the life as a pioneer. Bob was very knowledgeable on life and all the equipment used in that era. We are very fortunate in this day and age, to have the convenience of shops to cater to all our needs.

Julie was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We learnt about the area as well as the cottage.

The lady that was there was very knowledgeable about the local history.. beautifully set up

Quiet and interesting. Unfortunately it wasn't open so we could only look through windows but it was all set up with a foot pedal outside the window that you press in order for lights to appear inside. Ingenious. There was a level on the door to show where and when the floods came up.

Russ cottage is excellent especially for children to see how they used to live in the olden days.
