Great overnighter with flat ground, plenty of parking, no fires allowed, some road noise but nothing too bad.

Yeah, ok for an overnighter. There is a lot of potential as it's a great location. Have seen some good ones that the locals took advantage of with light advertising. If it was a little bigger, that would help too. There were 8 camps there the night stopped. That's potentially 8 families of tourists locally.

Nice set up for a number of vans, caravans, etc to pull in for an overnighter, fire pits, a couple of tables and bins, no toilets, lovely shade trees, very large wet areas after the rain, but solid ground underneath

Rest area 8 km east of Dongara on the Midlands Rd with few facilities. Must be self-contained.

Time and Cost: 24 hours, free.

Access: Sealed road to gravel/dirt camping area.

Facilities: Medium size camping area with dirt/gravel base and plenty of shade. Bins and seats also available. Poor Optus but no Telstra reception or TV.

Ambiance: Just off Midlands Road which is fairly busy during the day but quiets down at night.

Suited only as an overnight stopover for self-contained vehicles. Short drive into Dongara which has an IGA, fuel, water and other paid facilities.

Great free camp, lots of space.

Very small area. Some camper was doing mechanical repairs near grassed area. People camp too close to other campers.
