A wonderful representation of the early settlement & convict heritage of the area. The buildings are superbly maintained, the artefacts were amazing, with some incredible vintage glassware. Lacking in the history of the indigenous peoples of the area, but believe that it is being researched and will be added to the museum.

The country friendliness was true in the reception we found at the museum. So much enthusiastic assistance was extended as we took in the well laid out exhibits. Definitely worth a visit

Kids loved it! Small museum but for the price (donation) was very well set up to be interactive with the family. Was open 10-12. I was expecting maybe half hour visit but ended up staying close to 2 hours!

I had a great experience at the museum. The volunteer worker there kindly showed us around and gave us detailed information about the artifacts and equipment displayed there. A very enjoyable and interesting experience.

Hi, Firstly I would like to thank Shirley Scooter for all the help she gave to me a few months ago. I went into the museum and asked about some relatives around the area and she took me out the back to look at her computer and look up the Carnamah website and found more information about my ancestors in that area.
A few days later a man came into the museum asking the same thing and it turned out we are related to the same Great Grandma Annie Morgan, Richmond ( nee Little).
From that came two more family members and we are now all sharing our family history and keeping in contact.
It is thanks to the volunteers around these places that help people solve their family mysteries and a wonderful discovery it has been by all of us.
Thank you for allowing me to have a say about Shirley and I only wish the best for her and your lovely museum and township.

The lady who opened up for us was very informative and the museum itself is fascinating. Lots of history of convicts shipped over from England and what happened to them.
