Clean camp site. Very helpful and lovely staff. The people at the camp site were all lovely. It was quiet and the dogs were supervised and no dog poop left on the ground.

We are definitely returning for another blissful trip.

If you are looking for something off the beaten track with great walks, scenery, flora and fauna this is where you will find it. Waratah Bay Caravan Park is one of a kind, it is not glitzy or glamorous but the natural setting that all nature lovers will fall in love with. Not to be missed if you are looking for a little (or a lot) serenity!

I was hesitant to book due to the poorer reviews, but am glad I did.
Yes, it is crowded, it is a big camping ground, but the sites are of adequate size so you are not on top of each other. What I really loved about the place was that everyone respected the rules of the camp. Quiet after 10pm, dogs on leads etc.
This made it perfect for our children and I can't rate that high enough.

I want to clarify the drinking water side mentioned in a review. The water comes from a dam, so lots of tanins. However there IS drinking water tap locations throughout the camp site.
The facilities are clean, the playground is of adequate size for the kiddies and if the kids get bored with those, then there is a new playground on the main road of Waratah Bay.

There is a basic shop with basic items, if you don't come prepared then you'll have to drive to a nearby township to get supplies- but that's camping! If you want more of a 5 star camping experience move on to a Big 4 and pay triple the price.

All in all, I appreciate the price the campsite charged (takes a bit to upkeep a place, lets be honest!) and the people both visitors and the owners were lovely. Respect definitely goes a long way!

Been coming here for 45 years as an annual. Don’t expect a 5 star park but it’s hidden treasures and nature are beyond beautiful. A hidden paradise awaits you camping in natural bush habitat. Unwind on the beautiful beach. Hidden paradise

Awesome experience. Planned to stay there for one night ended up staying two, camping ground is very beautiful and comfy, places are available close to the beach as well. Bonfire is permitted. Place is pet friendly, got to pet some dogs there, always a pleasure. Toilets and shower are clean. Staff is very friendly. Gas stove is available there.

The only thing- I couldn't find fresh water there (don't know if it's available or not , could be) dam water is usually available at the site. So, it'll be a good idea to carry some spring water.

Would recommend 5/5 visited during weekday.

Even in bad weather the clean air and quiet surrounds are a balm for the soul.
Too cold for me to swim, but great kite flying weather.
Bird life a real bonus.

Loved the experience. Extremely friendly and helpful management. All the basics you would need in a caravan park. Anything they don't have or you need to be mindful of they tell you upfront, such as the limited supply of fresh water, which is understandable for the area. Nice communal kitchen. The park is quiet, safe, peaceful and kid and pet friendly. Just do your part and be respectful to others. The place is by the sea. The beach is fantastic, beyond words. Please pay attention to the signs as it is an area where the endangered Plover lay its eggs so although the tidal sand strip is very wide, don't frolick in the middle and try to be closer to the water or stay closer to the park. We will be back for more.

Close to the beach, quiet and relaxing. The beach has the most beautiful stones and pebbles that have been washed up to shore. Not seen these kind before. I want to retire hear and be happy

Such a nice spot. Not overcrowded with people. Friendly staff. Our dogs loved the beach. Nice relaxing quiet weekend! Bring everything you need, not many shops near by. Highly recommend this caravan park. We will be returning soon.

Some cabins are overlooking the most amazing beach. It’s rustic but worth it. One of my favorite places in the world.
