great teachers, I made good friends, new classrooms and air conditioning, good OC classrooms, good library, also Zihan Jin is a nerd. Warning, the toilets are disgusting and canteen food is overpriced and I have been stolen from TWICE (my poor pokemon cards D:) but overall a good school. (totally no bias because i went to that school for 7 years)

I have been at this school for 4 yrs but left and now I am in grade 4 in Queensland. The school was academically excellent and the teachers great. The canteen food was good and I overall liked everything, so this school is highly recommended.

A great school that always get a 99 or 100 NSW school ranking.

When it comes to education, a friend whose son attends the *selective* North Sydney Boys High School told me his son's grade had 50 kids coming from Hurstville Public School.

But they don't just stop there, they also encourage kids to do more activities. Several projects suitable to each grade, and dance / music / swimming classes, and weekly presentations in the class, daily home reading books, great stuff!

The staff is generally friendly and very reasonable. Firm just-enough with the kids, so that the atmosphere is not chaotic and also not fearsome. My son loves to the school.

They also conveniently have a good before and after school care centre (run separately, but located inside the school area), which is also pretty good (also offers vacation care).

From 1982-83 I had an excellent female teacher who taught me there how to appreciate education in my early years. I remember there were excursions to Manly, book character parades and her playing the piano and singing "When You're Smiling". The building I was in was built in 1915 and has two floors, and my classroom was on the ground floor. In the room there was a portable black and white television in the corner, and we would watch an ABC program called Hunter, which was about a man finding information with his cat. Her desk was on my left side, and she would give a certificate at the end of the week to the best behaved student. She did take the class to her house to see her upright piano located inside near an inner wall, and then to see the chickens and gazebo in her backyard, which is rather an unusual thing to do for a teacher. This school is over a hundred years old, and has playground areas that are large. The students there were friendly, and I had a fun time.
