Ryde Library

A spacious clean library with friendly staff. Lots of various break out spaces for quiet work, shared rooms and a dedicated kids section. Excellent range of latest magazines and New Releases. Access is via Pope Street or via Top Ryde Shopping Centre stairs.

Beautiful library with great variety of books. Peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff. We always enjoy coming here.

Nice spacious and bright looking library. I was new to the library hence the staff stepped me through the member application process. Though took a little while, everything went smoothly and I was able to use the services right after. A comfortable and convenient spot.

Okay it is not very realistic to review a library, since people go to libs for different reasons.
I would like to give a 5 star for this retro vibe.

The place is clean, well-maintained, spacious and absolutely delightful to visit.

The library is conveniently located in the shopping centre and is easily accessible from both inside the shopping centre and from Pope Street.

There is lift and staircase access to the library but the lift is small and can’t accommodate more than 1 pram or 2 adults. Would have been nicer to have a slightly bigger lift.

Their staff is helpful, friendly and guide you with your search if you need a specific book/magazine/event.

Grab a drink from one of the cafes in the shopping centre and immerse yourself in a book/magazine in a cozy corner in the library. You’ll have plenty, of both cozy corners and reading materials, to choose from.

They have some useful facilities like Justice of Peace, Quiet Rooms, Group Study rooms and even a public access to a piano.

They run weekly rhymes and story sessions for the kids, which is very well-organised and a fun way to spend time. It’s also a great place to meet other parents and kids to make friends or socialise.

Nice, clean and quiet at lunch time on weekdays. No students or kids at all. Lots of seats!

Absolutely love this library, love the convenience of the app to find, reserve and renew books.
Have been going to story time pretty regularly for about a year and it’s the best.
Staff is always so helpful and lovely.
Always a fun time when we are at the library.

It has a high speed internet access and more computers in comparison to other liberary which I have ever seen in sydney and is a quite place for studying and it has veriety range of book

An excellent public space for study, reading, learning. A stage and grand piano lends itself to a promise of entertaining performances of music. How lucky we are and thank you to the Councillors for their planning forsite and vision.

Amazing library with plenty of books to choose from. A nice little area for kids to have fun with large computer screen to play with. Quite spacious and has different breakout sections for more quiet space or group reading.

Great place to relax and read a book. You can also use the free PCs available (need to have a Ryde library card)). If you need to print stuff, you can do so too (need to pay). There are tables and chairs for people who need to study, read or use their own devices. The toilets are clean and most of the staff are friendly.

I have so much things to say about this library, this library LITERALLY LETS U EAT FOOD INSIDE in the group meeting room!!!
the students are allowed to buy food and eat here and i cannot mention of how HUGE this library is!!!

this is one of the greatest library with clean toilets, many places to study and overall amazing!

i go here at least once a week to study after and i tell you library like this has my heart

I am writing this review from the library now.

Free Wifi up to 500Mb , a little slow but hey there are a lot of users.

Great library , new facilities and I have borrowed hundred of books for the kids.

Great place to study. In general, Ryde City Council has the best library network service when compared to Parramatta, the Hills, Willoughby...

Free interlibrary borrowing, free to reserve books, free to renew online, notification of when a book is available. The online reserve system tells you what place you are in the queue, and if you're first in line, it tells you when the current borrower must return the book. Free purchase requests. Fast read sections for new and popular books. I read so many books because of how accessible reading was.

I have since moved away from Ryde and the library services elsewhere can't compare. I recently joined another council's library and it reminded me of how great RCC was. I want my council rates to go to these kinds services.

It was my first visit to the ryde library. The lady at the information desk was friendly and helped us with the printings.
