Blue Shed Fish & Chips Cafe

Had a chcken burger and chips. Went Easter Friday. They were being smashed with a 2hour wait but well worth it. Services was amazing. Very clean and tidy. Will definitely be back

Had a great experience today. Lovely and friendly staff. Great food. Definitely worth the $$. Would definitely recommend. Photos show battered Barramundi and crumbed Coral Trout. Both with potato salad and crunchy chips.

Wonderful hamburger with the lot. Beautifully cooked beef patty, egg, bacon, beetroot, pineapple, lettuce tomato, cheese, sauce. ($13.50). For the quality & size (huge) - a BARGAIN. Having travelled extensively through Australia during the last 18 months - My BEST burger experience in the whole country.
(Did not get to WA or Tassie.)
I had one last year here, & had to detour through Roma on the way to Darwin for another hit. Not disappointed. Work every extra km.

Made a good choice to stop here . Very Friendly staff, nicesnd spacious dining area. Meal was excellent, perfectly cooked in quick time and fantastic value. Portion size was very generous.

A busy little shop and for good reason. We had a sensational feed of potato scallops, chips, fish and potato salad - all were so tasty, well cooked and super fresh! Coming from the Coast, I don't think I've had much better than this. We'll be making a visit to this place a weekly tradition. Thanks for the great meal!

Beautiful food. They really take pride in their cooking and delivery you can see it. Had amazing fish and chips here after seeing it from 22 on Bowen where we stayed the night. Would love to come back again

I visited for my first time today and ordered a seafood basket plus extra fish (snapper). I was pleased by the friendly and quick service and very surprised at the freshness of the seafood and also the garden salad was simple but delicious. The chips were golden and crunchy. The portions were huge. I recommend this for a great and filling lunch

I can't believe that I am writing a review for takeaway fish and chips that I bought 6 months ago and I am because it was so, so good. Highly recommended and hopefully that I will again pass through Roma and I will buy more.

Absolutely the best feed of fish & chips.
Calamari was cooked to perfection and the potato scallops were very nice.
Friendly staff. I'll definitely eat there again on my next visit to Roma.

I'm going to be completely honest, I moved to Roma after living on the coast for my entire life...where I would routinely watch the local fishing boats go and catch the days fish that was served in our local fish and Chip shops. It's safe to say being 6 hours from the coast I glossed over the existence of a fish and chip shop in Roma, and after being let down by some of the fish served elsewhere in town I had all but dismissed that this would be any different ....

I'll admit now I was completely wrong. The fish is absolutely delicious, I've tried it battered I've tried it crumbed hell I even tried it grilled every single time...it's delicious. It's now at the point that some of the "award winning" fish and Chip shops on the coast could take a leaf out of the blue shed on how to make delicious fish and chips. Handcut potato cakes/scallops, tender calamari. Hell even the salads are fresh. The whole thing makes me comeback every Sunday for my weekly fix. To top it all off its priced so well!!! An absolute feed for two people under $40
If I could give 6 stars I would. Just go here.

Had the best fish & chips I've had in years last night at The Blue Shed. The batter was perfection - light, crispy and not oily. And the fish was cooked perfectly. The current owners/management have turned this place around. 10/10.
