We went pass and turned around. It's these little fish and chip shops that are the memories of newspaper wrapped fish an chips. We both ordered and headed down to the shore which was a 2min drive from there.

Crumbed fish and the chips were cooked as they should and tasted great. The oil tasted fresh as did the fish.

Prices are good and we enjoyed the quick lunch. If we pass there again we will get another fish an chips. Thanks.

It’s a fish and chip shop straight out of the 80s, and that’s part of the charm - cheap, quick and good tasting food, with a Dr. Who themed pinball machine and one of those robot claw things with stuffed toys in it.

I had a fish and chips and a Bundaberg ginger beer. Did you know they use real ginger in ginger beer? I did but the people on the table next to me were debating it and the man in the green shirt was sure there wasn't any. If that's you reading this YOUR WRONG, I googled it.

Absolutely stunning old-school chips and potato cake (not a greasy scallop). This took me back to a better time with blanched fresh potato chips, no frozen fare here.
Hats off to the gents running this place who were neither Greek nor British. They are nevertheless the gold standard in SE Qld if you like old style fish and chips that are fresh and satisfying.

Don't always answer the phone, comms a little difficult but quick service, tasty takeaway food and great value for money

Hands down BEST fish and chips around the area!! Love how they still wrap old school style. Cheaper than the other seafood places on Flinders parade. Def my fave take out!

Have been going to this store for 10 or more years and great food and service and value for money. In regards to the Domino's and Pizza Hut reviews I know the owner would never do anything like this and I believe it is someone playing stupid and childish games. This can't be the first time it's happened as wrong as it is. This is a hard working family business who I will continue to support and have told friends to go there also.

Brighton seafood doesn't look like much but I ordered the cod with potato scallop, chips & salad $9:90 for one. Well it would have cost me $16 elsewhere. It was beautiful well presented in a take away container, very fresh very nice. Well done to the owners. Thank you.

I would highly recommend going here instead of the beach-front fish and chip shops. Great food, great prices, all the classic fish and chips items you could want. The atmosphere is quite nice as well, and the little prawn mascot on the menus is too cute!

So perhaps not the most sought after holiday destination, old Brighton, but the fish and chips at Brighton Seafoods are top notch. They're exactly what you want from a small, local fish and chippery. The fish (I had cod) was crumbed to perfection, not too greasy or heavy duty but just right. The flesh was tender and cooked just right, falling apart in the mouth but just holding shape enough that it's not too messy to use your fingers. Often this can be a bit sloppy if the crumb doesn't hold the fish together and the flesh is too flakey so colour me impressed, they got this just right. The chips are crisp on the outside and delightfully fluffy inside. A little extra seasoning would have been nice but nothing a few handy salt sachets couldn't fix. The calamari and seafood sticks, similar to the cod, were crumbed beautifully. The calamari itself was sweet and tender - some of the best I've had in recent times. Potato scallops? Available and a delightful crunch that reminded me of the pork crackle I'd had at Christmas just days before.
There's something magical about sitting by the water with a beer and fish and chips til it gets dark, and that magic is only enhanced when the fish and chips are as good as this place. So despite not being at the nicest beach in the world, the seafood absolutely holds up with any joint you'd find anywhere else. 5 well-deserved stars.

We always get a burger, chips and calamari rings - the BEST calamari EVER! Everything is always cooked to order, and ordering is super easy as we always phone up and it's ready by the time we walk down to pick it up!

Fantastic place. Cod was delicious and the fish burger just wonderful. Nice chips. Much cheaper than other places.

Good stack of chips... these guys always are consistent with the food. Oil is always fresh. And chips are done to perfection. Love the fish here always.

this is your old school fish & chips shop. Like the one when you were growing up, with old fashioned prices to boot! Love it.
No fancy YUPPIE or Hipster names on the menu, and no, you can't see the ocean from the door; but you get Take Away food here, and don't get ripped off doing it. :)
Go here; Walk/drive to the waterfront. Easy.

Love fish & chips here. Calamari rings are always good and fresh. Been coming back this shop for years. Good service, value for money.
