Sunday Seoul

I’m so grateful to Sunday Seoul for being able to accommodate to my birthday dinner! We were a big group, but they put together a long table for us and set it up beautifully before we arrived. I was also able to bring along some of my own flowers and other decorations which really made my vision come to life :)) We ordered around 8-9 dishes to share between 11 people and they were all delicious and filled us up! The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff were very sweet and helpful, so a big thank you to Sunday Seoul!! ❤❤

Grad that everything here is still as great as it was.

Fried chicken is fresh and crispy, tastier than the average Korean shop.
Clam and shrimp stew is really tasty too. Before you finish, please tried to add extra pasta with the remaining sauce.

Sorry for the poor photos, we arrive earlier than dinner time so the sun was still quite big.

The foods are awesome, you can feel every dish was made with love and care. Mussels stew is fresh and tasty（very spicy!). The minari pancake is one of the crispest pancakes I ever had in Sydney. Even the complimentary soup is decent.

(The restaurant is small and warm, only have one lovely Korean waitress serving food and drinks. Come early or book a table beforehand to guarantee you seat!)

We ordered a Minari pancake and spicy tomato mussel pasta. They came with a quite intensive flavour, which is ideal go with the drink. The pancake is amazingly crispy, and I've never taste anywhere using the this veg in Korea style pancake. Strongly recommended! However it does a bit expensive if you try to get super full here, it's more like a bar place.

SUNDAY SEOUL

Newtro (뉴트로) trend has taken Seoul by storm recently, from food to fashion. It is an amalgamation of two words: “new” and “retro”.

Sunday Seoul is a newtro bar in Chatswood, Sydney that serves both imported Korean alcohol (술: sool) and extremely tasty dishes to go with the drinks (안주: anju). It’s food isn’t Korean in the sense that we are used to: no kimchi jjigaes or bibimbaps and the like. More fusion and more Western with hints and elements of Korean nostalgia culture . Dishes are well cooked.

Food-wise, my greatest hits are:
• Minari and dried shrimp pancake
• Fried whole chicken (with bone)
• Rose (gochugaru and cream) tteokbokki
• Gochujang (army) stew
• Hamburg steak
• Clam and prawn pasta
• Eomuk (fish cakes) in broth

LOVED all the dishes, loved the non traditional korean food creations, blown away with the Pad Thai with KFC and the pancake should rename to "seafood umami crunchy massive biscuit"

Warning you will come back to try the other creative innovative korean inspired modern dishes

I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! It has a lovely atmosphere, with delicious food and friendly staff. My favourite dishes were the rose tteokboki, fried chicken and minari pancake. The yuzu-ade was also very refreshing! Thank you Sunday Seoul ⭐😁

Exceptional food, drinks, service and atmosphere.

We tried the soy garlic chicken, oden, beef item on the special menu and squid pancakes. All of them were cooked to perfection, not a single negative thing to even mention. I especially recommend the soy garlic chicken it was surprisingly amazing.

The highballs were delicious. The earl grey is a must try and the Yuzu was delicious too.

The atmosphere was really nice too, felt cozy and intimate, perfect to come here with a small group of friends.

Waitress were attentive and friendly!

After second time visit here I decided to clear all the menu. Already excited to next visit! Food is too good so I forgot to take a pic😂😂

Absolutely delicious. I could recommend any of the four dishes we tried, so I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as good. I preferred the yuzu highball to the earl gray which was a tad sweet.

Great vibe on the romantic side, a rare find in Chatswood. Love the menu and drink lists. They open until midnight! Will be back

Jumi is the best server ever, I’m a regular customer here and she always makes me feel so welcome. I recommend this place for a chill evening.

Nostalgic/authentic interior with great food and service!

Foods are excellent and authentic!
Cozy atmosphere.
However they need to improve service a little more.

Great little spot, food was fresh and tasty and the service was very fast and attentive. Would recommend trying it out!
