Double Tap Coffee

Discovered this hidden gem in the industrial zone of Marrickville—an impressive spot. Weekday parking can be a challenge, but the coffee selection is noteworthy. The café exudes warmth with abundant greenery. Surprisingly, the croissant was delightful. I usually reserve high expectations for pastries from bakeries, but this one was both flaky and buttery.

My friend who has lived in Sydney for 8 years recommended this place as her favorite one, I feel so sad that visiting here on the last day of my trip. It was worth a visit from Korea to experience this high quality coffee. Korean male staff made me a beautiful and an amazing coffee, I was shocked after tasting first sip. All the staff was friendly and warm, especially Korean barista. I'll definately come back here someday!

Came around brunch time in a group of 3. Most of the tables are set up for 2. Nice spot for coffee and sandwiches. Well priced filtered coffee. They also gave us a serving of batch brewed coffee as appetiser. We ordered a sandwich each and they were delicious. Used great deli meats. Well priced sandwiches. Staff were great. Would recommend. Parking on busy streets may be a bit hard.

The place that i had a great picollo. Double tap coffee, former alchemy coffee owner made his own with synesso s200, 3 anfim sp2, mahlkonig. Coffee roaster under the same name. Brew method available espresso and batch brew

A cafe that is so underrated! The cold brew with milk was beautiful, the latte art was a work of perfection and the sarnies were fresh and yum. Service was warm, attentive and consistent from the entire team. Environment was clean and unpretentious. It’s not everyday we come across a cafe in Sydney which ticks so many boxes, it’s no surprise people keep returning here 👍

Best coffee in the area! Especially the one with milk. Order flatwhite, the steam milk is just so smooth and silky. Not too hot, not too cold, sweet and creamy.

It’s a place I visit every time I come to Sydney!
It has delicious food and coffee, a cozy mood and friendly people:)
My favorites are capsicum open toast and passion fruit cake.
And coffee is always excellent.

Second time I have a breakfast and it was again amazing experience. Not only the food is incredible but also the people working there. Some choices that are incredible are Roasted Eggplant, Pastrami Beef, Chocken with grilled corn… I think every time I will be around Sydney I will visit… I definitely recommend, it’s a must go!

Really good coffee made with love and care. The roast is perfect very very good customer service by the friendly staff and definitely wanna come back to try their food. bought their coffee blend definitely good for french press right flavors.

After my youngest son’s UNSW graduation, with recommendation of my other son, went to Double Tap Coffee to celebrate. Ordered sandwiches and coffees. Perfect place to celebrate

I just loved this place! It’s my second time here and they definitely deserve this good review. The speciality coffee is just perfectly made (tried the Etiopía and Guatemala) the food is fresh and also healthy. I’m a vegetarian and I appreciate the options available for me. Thanks to the friendly staff!

Great coffee, cosy interior, friendly service. We had cappucino and mocha and also ordered their Pastrami sandwich - so delicious toasted! Rich in textures and great balance of flavours.

The service was friendly and very thoughtful (eg. being very careful when placing the hot coffee as we had our toddler with us).

They also have this cute spot outside with random toys and Pop figurines that was quite entertaining for little kids.

The staff were super professional, friendly and apologised for the delay in their service even though we only waited around 8mins for our food and coffee to arrive (we had 4 people)! The sandwiches, salads and coffee were amazing and delicious. I am going to visit this cafe before or after bouldering at Blochaus (it's a 2min walk) now that I know it's really nice and highly recommend everyone else to do so as well! :)

Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. We order the chicken sandwich and chicken salad bowl. Both were fresh and tasty. Be aware that you have to order and pay at the counter before you sit down. We will definitely come back!

What separates Double Tap goes beyond the coffee. It’s the people behind the counter. Dan and the gun barista team always make it a great visit.

And you can’t not mention the home made cakes that change weekly!

Second time visiting and it's even better than we remember from the last time! Service is excellent, menu is amazing, everything was delicious and good portion sizes. Coffee of course is one of the best.

How do I like my coffee someone asked? Exactly like how they make it at Double Tap. Plus they do all the variations & well. Big, small, almond, oat, soy, cold drip, you name it. But don't stop at just coffee. The food is just as good. The menu is accessible & affordable by which I mean lots of tasty, healthy, not boring options that are very well priced. Delicious toasties & sandwich filling options, stunning salad bowls with your choice of protein, 2 homemade cakes daily plus pastries & sweets. Add to that speedy service, spacious indoor/outdoor seating options, smiles & friendliness and its as close to perfection as it gets.

Amazing coffee supported by just as awesome food. The whole team are friendly and know their stuff, you will never be disappointed by the quality of the coffee or the tastiness of the food. They have never put a foot wrong!!

EDIT: Am happy to say that all of this is still true years later 😁 (except maybe we've become more addicted to their food and dogmatic about how good their coffee is!).

By way of helpful info - out the front there's outdoor seating with umbrellas for sun protection and water bowls for the doggo's, inside there's lots of seating choices with a stack of baby chairs in the corner for the littlies. This is honestly one of, if not the, most welcoming cafe in Marrickville 💜

Nice little place tucked away up a side street in a semi-industrial area. Lovely staff. Nice selection of cakes, and menu offerings. Had a lemon and blueberry cake slice and a very smooth tasty espresso. Noice.

The team at Double Tap are second to none. The store has a cosy, simple yet comforting feel but everything here is done with purpose.

This is the most consistent Cafe I've visited and each experience is always delivering the same mouth watering quality you'll come to expect.

The coffees, are amongst the best I've had in my life
The sandwiches let me tell you, the beef pastrami is hands down the best sanga I've had in my life.

The real winner though is the customer service, Danny and his team are always going above and beyond and make you feel like guests. It's why I visit there twice a week even though it's out of my way.

Double Tap is my happy place.
