Our experience was incredible. Fantastic flavours, good portion sizes, a cosy, homely ambiance, and a wonderful success story of a Pakistani family who took a leap of faith and an initiative and is now serving, in my opinion, the best Pakistani food not only in Sydney, but better than anything we have ever had even in Pakistan.

We ordered the Kebab karrhaai, the BBQ platter (Bihaari Kebab, Malaai Boti, boneless Chicken Tikka), Chicken Tikka (traditional on the bone) the Chicken Karrhaai, Naan, Paraatha, Chai and Kulfa.

There was just something different about everything. In the best way possible. Each individual item was marinated and cooked to perfection. Bursting with flavour and to my pleasant surprise, spiced to perfection as well (quite a rarity outside Pakistan, because the spice levels and therefore flavour is always compromised in order to cater to local tastebuds).

The fact that we were ready to go back to the restaurant the very next day, and the only reason we didn’t was because it was closed (Sunday) is probably the biggest and most genuine compliment we could give.

We will definitely be back at Zakinsa for more iA. Wishing the family and their incredible little initiative to bring the best of Pakistani flavours to Australia all the success in the world!

Zakinsa offers an amazing array of authentic Pakistani bbq dishes along with some great regional delicacies. The chicken tikka (authentic) and malai chicken is a must try. Also checkout khat a khat and brain masala which are traditional dishes not found in most other Pakistani restaurants. Overall the food is immaculate and full of flavor. The ambience is pleasant cafe style with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try authentic Pakistani food in Sydney.

Dined at Zakinsa a Pakistani restaurant opened in Chatswood. Food is exceptional, better than any we had in Australia. Kulfi, kebab karahi and BBQ were amazing.

What a stunning cafe! It has a really lovely atmosphere, the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, and the food just amazed us.

Such a flavour explosion. We had the chicken tikka, reshmi kebab and masala chips.

Beautiful decor, welcoming vibe, amazing service and the most delicious Pakistani/Indian food you have ever tasted. It's authentic Desi food cooked straight from the heart. If that wasn't enough the hospitality of the chef and the friendly staff will take your experience to another level. Portion sizes were generous and affordable prices. I never give 5 stars but this place was worth it.

The sheekh kebab and the chicken tikka (boneless) were just to die for! The tamarind sauce was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet.

An excellent place for authentic Pakistani BBQ food. Nice place with good ambience and the original Pakistani music in the background makes you feel at home. To top it all is a very friendly and a courteous staff. Murtaza and Abbas are doing a really good job. Wish them best with their venture.

This is perhaps the best Pakistani barbecue I have eaten in Australia. It's authentic and what you'd find in restaurants in Karachi. I had a great overall experience. Highly recommended!

Probably the best authentic Pakistani BBQ in Sydney. Friendly staff and good service.
However, would prefer to have fresh parathas and tandoori naan instead of frozen ones.
Overall, great experience and will definitely visit again.

Amazing food. exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff.
Beautifully run by a humble yet talented family. Spices and hospitality must run through their veins. A must place to try. Especially the signature dishes such as the malai chicken and kebab Karahi. If you are after perfectly cooked, balanced and flavoursome authentic food you have to try Zakinsa.

Great food and ambience. Tried the reshmi kebab, Bihari boti, Karahi and Maghaz and each one of the dishes were finger licking good. Sikanjabeen, parathas and Kulfa (offered to us on the house) were great as well. I always felt that Sydney lacked quality Pakistani food eateries: Zakinsa fills that gap. Highly recommended.

By far the best Pakistani restaurant in Sydney.
Hope they bring poori parathas to thier menu to compliment the mouthwatering authentic barbq.
Kulfa & lemonade was top notch aswell.

Spotted it as we drove past, and reserved that night. Amazing food - the whole family loved it, both the kebabs and the curries. The family was planning their next visit even before we had left the restaurant ! We found a gem in the suburbs.

Perhaps the best Pakistani food in Sydney. Chicken karahi was the best and liv d the chicken tikka snack pack and BBQ. Good service and very hygienic place.

Fresh food. Not prepared stuff served. I was here and the staff was missing but the owner cooked and it was amazing! Worth every cent and the time. Definitely worth the visit.

Had a wonderful BBQ lunch here. The owner was really lovely and made some suggestions for great dishes. Will definitely be going back!

Beef behari, reshmi kebab, malai boti all yum. Will visit again to taste karhai.
