Great vibes, nice music, good experience. It's not only the food that was enjoyable, but the experience also. Family oriented and owned and you can see they put their hearts in to it. Tables were abit small.

Steki Taverna in Newtown is an absolute delight for those seeking an authentic Greek dining experience! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a genuine Greek taverna.

Ah what an experience. We ordered the banquet 3 which was awesome. I know Greek food from a Greek Mama in Crete and this was absolutely fantastic. Lovely and welcoming staff too.
We had the pleasure to attend a bride to be party. First we've been just spectators, later that night people been dancing and my partner was dragged into the dancing circle and taught a bit of the dance choreography.

I experienced real Greek hospitality in Crete. The food and service was not short of anything I experienced over there. We've been lucky that bride to be party was happening there with Greek musicians so we crashed the party and been welcomed to joined. It was an unforgettable experience.
We had the banquet 3 which includes all.the main delicious foods and we need to take some home. I know you can't compare the special event we could attend that day with any ordinary day but I bet the food and the service will be one of the best you can get outside of Greece!

We were long time patrons at Kefenes and were pleased to find this restaurant in its place. Cannot fault anything about this place. Food as good as ever, staff are brilliant, attentive and friendly with a great bar and wine list. Once again our go to when attending the Enmore across the road. Thanks for a great meal and experience.

Friendly service and nice vibes, had some gluten free options and as a celiac I had no bad reaction to it. Great Greek food, maybe even some of the best you could find in Sydney! Would definitely come back.

The best last night venue in Syd! So hard to find a place that serves good food late at night. Best atmosphere for dancing and kicking on after an event!

Amazing Greek, food and music. First time I ve been there, we ate original Greek recipes by Greek chef for all occasions. The atmosphere is fantastic playing live music.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Nice to step away slightly from the main drag and enter this unpretentious and attractive restaurant. Great, friendly service and our meal arrived quickly. The roast lamb was a standout and all the dishes were enjoyable. Greek food has a reputation for heaviness but not here and the prices were very reasonable.
Definitely coming back.

Amazing service and great food. Went here as part of a work function and I loved it. They make you feel like you're home and that you're family - excellent hosts! Shoutout to Connie. She really took care of me and was very accommodating to my dietary needs. The staff helped us split the bills even though we are a pretty big group, made the night fun and easy - would definitely recommend!

Amazing close knit atmosphere. Fun and lively bouzouki and live Greek music. Wonderful and authentic Greek food and dishes. Many memorable nights out. Best enjoyed in a group.

Parking is difficult to find. You need to walk a fair bit and find street parking, or park far and walk.

Beautiful authentic Greek food, tastes like homemade only better.
Staff provided excellent service and live music was incredible. (Fastest hands alive goes to the bouzouki player)

Hidden gem! We went here for a midweek dinner as a couple, and were blown away. Set banquet was excellent value at $52pp - highlights being the dips and BBQ lamb - and we were spoilt with complimentary dessert and coffee. Fantastic service and atmosphere - we will be making this our 'steki'!

An absolute hidden gem! I've been eating out in Newtown for decades and never new this existed. We had a fabulous family meal here. We booked at short notice and were warmly welcomed and accommodated. Our meal was delicious and the service was impeccable. Connie looked after us like we were family. Delightful from start to finish. Will definitely be back.

We visited Steki on a Tuesday night and had the pleasure of Jimmy looking after us. Greek food is our favourite and we had high expectations. Steki didn't disappoint. Lamb, octopus, taramasalata and Greek salad were the best we've had. Awesome food and place. We both loved it.
