Sydney trip: delicious dinner at @elizafoodandwine - fantastic food and friendly service 🙂. Simple menu, but well executed!

Lightly cured ocean trout, daikon, puffed buckwheat, mayo: absolutely stunning dish! The trout was really tasty. The puffed buckwheat added a nice extra dimension to the dish. Excellent!

Roast baby carrots, custard, black garlic: this was so simple yet so yummy! The black garlic sauce was amazing 🤤🤤🤤.

12 hour slow cooked lamb shoulder, spiced eggplant, black barley, buttermilk: super super yummy dish! The lamb was cooked to perfection. So tender!

Crinkle cut chips, Eliza salt: not sure what that salt is, but it sure is delicious!

Salted caramel parfait, dried brownie and almond: perfect end to a great meal. Not too heavy of a dessert option. Perfect combination of flavours without being too overpowered by the caramel. Yummy!

Excellent classy service and awesome food. The head chef is a consummate technician creating brilliant and delicious dishes. Highly recommend a visit!

Outstanding. The ravioli is to die for. Though everything here was good. The parfait is probably a bit sweet for my personal taste but my colleague loved it

Fantastic! Modern Australian food with old school style and service. Delicious food, The Cold Kangaroo is outstanding! MUST try the Carrot and Lamb. Great local wine list, Reisling from SA was a perfect compliment to the meal. Berry Brulee! Beautiful.

Never noticed the restaurant in the two years it's been established.

Great local neighbourhood bar, quality and short itemed menu. Terrific coffee infused Negroni...great salt fish brandade (essentially croquettes). A great addition to the area

Nice spot for a date or a smaller group. Good selection of wine.
We shared entrees and smaller dishes as many options were appealing. We each loved the chicken liver parfait with macadamia crumble - this was a winner at our table! The blue swimmer crab ravioli was also delicious!

What a pleasant surprise! Nice ambience in a newly outfitted restaurant . Very nice service from attentive young team . Great bar . Small but very good varied menu . We are all goodies and loved everything we had. Exceptional starters included The pate, the eggplant parmigiana, and the main courses all good.

A really good local restaurant. Great service and nice atmosphere (although needs a better stereo system!).

The carrot dish which gets talked about for the wrong reasons is lovely but yes, needs more carrots for the price. However the mains are in contrast are very good value and well made.

Give it a try - it’s a tough industry so we need to support these local heroes.

Delightful experience, the food was delicious, highly recommend, the food we ate was designed to be shared, it’s was beautifully presented & we enjoyed 3 savoury courses, & wine recommendations also really good. Only disappointment we didn’t have room for desert : so will be back to Sydney soon, just for desert & wine. Well done Chef, great staff thoroughly enjoyable evening. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🥰

Cool and classy. Such a welcome addition to the Darlinghurst restaurant scene. Smart decor and efficient service complement simply excellent, innovative food. Forget Sydney's top restaurants with their high prices and long waiting lists to get a table. You can enjoy chef style food in ease and convenience at Eliza. Highly recommended.

From nibbles to dessert everything was fabulous. Not a wrong note to be found across the whole menu (and we ate a LOT of it). Textures were spot on and the creative flavour combinations were beautifully balanced. Staff were attentive and helpful but not intrusive. We had such a great night. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous place this is. We had a wonderful night at Eliza (again) - amazing service and beautiful food; always consistent and always a really high standard. Intimate, friendly vibe. Truly recommend coming for a visit, you will not be disappointed. We have now been 4 times and have come out raving about it every time!

This is a great new restaurant - excellent interesting modern Australian food, great wine and fantastic service. I am not a serial restaurant reviewer, but really felt compelled to sing Eliza's praises. It's quite noisy inside, but fun to eat on the outdoor tables. Looking forward to coming back again!

Absolutely loved this restaurant, the ambience and service is spot on. We enjoyed Chef Jeremy's tasting menu and every dish was to die for, in particular, the kingfish and the 12 hour lamb shoulder.
We came from interstate for this and we will definitely return to dine here.
Highly recommend!!

Great food and quality ingredients with each component complementing well with one another, knowledgeable and friendly staff and all-round cool atmosphere. Wine choices were also great! Definitely will be back

Incredible dining experience. Wholesome, uncomplicated and very tasteful. Eggplant, hummus and pumpkin dishes are a must. The staff along with the local produce and wine list made it memorable.

Now this is a very good place. It has food offerings at late afternoon after a matinee theatre. Hard to believe but finding chef food before 5pm in Sydney is a rare thing. We ate outside , had a great yarn with the Scottish waiter (Aussie wife ), drank a tasty wine, then ate some scrumptious share plates from the open kitchen. Am definitely returning. Except I suppose all of Sydney will now turn up and we won't get a table. Sigh.
