Metro Cinemas Boronia

We love coming here. A great family run venue that gives the big guys a run for their money. 4 theatres, very clean and nicely kept, good run of movies, and above all excellent prices. Our family comes often thanks to the affordability.

My daughter and some friends watched a movie there for her birthday. Staff were so helpful and friendly at helping the day run smoothly. From the girls collecting their popcorn/drink/lolly to setting up the table later with her presents & lolly bags so we could have a cake, it was amazing.
We had the theatre to ourselves so the kids enjoyed a little dance at the end.

What a great theatre. The last of the family owned theatres in Victoria. Owned and run by a super nice family that do everything, sell tickets , drinks popcorn. I really recommend this cinema, we need to support these smaller family businesses rather than big chains, They deserve it. Was nice meeting the family.

Love this cinema, ticket prices and food so reasonable, Staff really friendly, a great local family feel vibe, cinemas are nice. A great contrast to the money grabbing, homogeneous offering from the chains. Cinemas like this are disappearing across Melbourne suburbs, totally recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I fully believe Metro Cinemas Boronia is one of the top amenities in this pocket of the outer east. Looking at the cinema building from the outside on Dorset Road, you might be tempted to think this cinema is a bit “meh” but that would be a mistake.

This cinema is great. Once you walk through the doors, you experience very friendly staff, nice and clean cinemas and delicious fresh popcorn. You get this without battling a big box shopping centre car parks and at a significantly more affordable price. It’s perfect for a low effort, fun trip to the movies.

I would definitely return after my first visit last night. The cinema is easy enough to get to, has great parking, tickets are competitively priced and service was friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing customer service. They put on an open caption movie for my sister, my sister was so happy. They are lovely, caring and want to help out. Will be back!

Walking in kind of thought that it would be a really dinky setup because it's small and the tickets are really cheap. Was very surprised when it felt as if I had walked into a Hoyt's or Village. Really professional, really clean, and the theatre themselves were huge with great sound quality. Highly recommend, very underrated.

My son had his birthday here and the staff were amazing. Set up a table for me to have party pies before we went in to the movie. Put the ice cream cake in their freezer so we could have cake after the movie. Each kid got a small popcorn, drink and a pack of lollies. They set two rows aside for us and made sure everything was taken care of. Everyone had a blast including the adults. Will definitely be doing this again.

A nice medium sized cinema showing the latest movies at really reasonable prices. $12.50 for adults and special attention to seniors at $9 as well as a free coffee or tea. The cinemas are medium sized, comfortable seats a good sized screen and great sound

Have discovered an absolute gem! Great prices and friendly staff. Much better value than Village in my opinion!
