Such a cool vibe with a back-street-entry.
Their pastries & pretzels are next level awesome. Coffee is pretty on point too.
Do yourself a favour & check it out.

Favourite café in Sydney!! A must go if you are looking for good coffee, amazing Nordic food and a very chill atmosphere. Try their Skagen Salmon and the vaniljbulle (vanilla and cardamom bun). Especially as a European, the café reminds me of home.
There is a cute little second hand / concept store right next to it that belongs to the café.
Highly recommend!!

Very nice find. Coffee was super smooth. Salmon cucumber breakfast was delicious and I got over there being no butter 😅. The vegemite provolone pastry to die for!

Consistently excellent coffee. We really enjoyed the cinnamon Bulle and the Vegemite scroll. The pastry was flaky and buttery with a generous spread of Vegemite. The garden area is a nice chilled space and they are dog friendly too.

The greens quiche was perfection. Can’t stress that enough. The cardamom roll was so lovely and subtly sweet. The salad was great but I prefer the croutons to be less chewy. The courtyard was peaceful and sunny. The service was kind. New favorite Sydney cafe!

Really enjoyed our visit to and lunch at koket. The food was delicious (a Swedish dish of smoked salmon, cucumbers, dill in a mayonnaise), as was the coffee. Staff were friendly and chatty. If you’d like the Swedish buns and scrolls best get there early in the morning.

Such a cute Swedish café :) It’s sooo cosy and stylish and their little backyard also is very cute. I ordered the Skagen inspired Salmon which was very delicious and my friend ordered a Selma. She’s Swedish and said that it’s super yummy and very authentic. Their clothing and interior section/shop is also very cool and they’ve got a great selection of Swedish interior bits and pieces.

The styling of this Scandinavian cafe is super trendy and on style. There’s plenty of natural light with plants to sit outside. The choice of baked goods is so different and delicious. I had a coffee which was hot and strong with a Vegemite scroll that was different and so good. Would recommend!

This place is a hidden gem in many aspects - amazing atmosphere, delicious food with organic ingredients! I truly enjoyed my lunch and coffee. Thank you guys! A Must go place if you are around Paddington - but especially outside of it! ;)

Great little find in Paddington, hidden at the back of a cute shop. Beautiful court yard (need sunscreen as there’s not much cover), chic decor.
Baked eggs were delicious, great fresh quality ingredients. Coffee was also great and all at a reasonable price.

An Australian design company with strong Swedish influences, funkis is one of Paddington's true treasures. Offering a range of Scandinavian homewares - from Marimekko mugs to Iris Hantverk brushes -plus clothing, clogs (of course) and accessories, it is also home to one of the suburb's best hidden cafes, funkis köket.

Love this place! The shop is excellent, great clogs and homewares and beautifully designed space. Then there is the cafe out the back! It's such a nice space, you can sit in the courtyard and get some sun or inside in the minimalistic space. It's a place that feels unique and classy but has the fun of being a bit hidden away. Great place for coffee meetings or a bit of time on your own.

Something different!

Loved the Scandinavian offerings. Very different to the Surry Hills coffee scene. The food does take some time to come out. But the setting and shop in front gives you lots to do while you wait. Decent beverage menu available.

Not easy to find parking. Public transport is probably easier.

Loved it. Recommend it.
