What a wonderful and probably underrated Nationalpark! Not as busy as Cradle/St Clair, but that is the beauty of it! There are only limited hikes, but they are lovely! If you want to conquer Mt William, consider to to a bit of a bush walk first, instead of just the summit walk. It starts near campsite #4. Parking available. Its a ~ 12km hike and even if the sign says it takes 5 hours, it can be easily done in 3.5hours (depending, of course, how much time you send at the summit).

This was one of the best locations in Tassie. The area has a Lighthouse, walks along shore line and if you look hard there are tracks so you can walk down along beach. Camping is acceptable although only drop toilets and plenty of mosquitoes, take your erogard.

If you're looking for the campsite, do a turn when you reach musselroe road. Look out for the sign, otherwise google maps is gonna lead you to a road that is gated.

The start of the walk to Mount William summit is within the Forester kangaroo drive. Drive slowly as there're a lot of wildlife around. I even saw a wombat! 🤩

There's a toilet at the start of the walk

The walk itself is amazing and quiet, and the view on top is worth the walk. It should be about 1.5 hour return if you're walking a steady pace.

Visit Eddystone Point Lighthouse. Beautiful spot. Roads can be a little rough and very dusty when passing cars or trailing take care and slow down. Saw a wombat crossing the road on our drive out. Magical spot

It was early winter when we visited this park, solitude was wonderful. We had the beach to ourselves. Gentle little climb up Mt William (216 m). With lovely views. Great to see some Forester kangaroos. A wonderful coastal park.

We stayed at stumpy's 2 for 3 nights($13 per night for 2 people) where we were only seconds from the beach and had it to ourselves most of the time. It was quite windy but the campsite was well sheltered so didn't feel the effects of it in the tent too much. Plenty of wildlife about, with frequent visits from forester kangaroos at tea time! A great place for some peace and quiet.

A bit pricey, from $13.50 a night plus park fees, but then at least that means only serious people stay, unless they're dishonest riff raff. It's been over 10 years since I've camped here, but I can see many improvements have been made during this time. All in all, a pleasant couple of nights.
