Policemans Point

Free campsite. Max 28 day stay. No campfire, gas stove only. Fishing spot, people had boats and stuff. Toilets are ok, cleaned by rangers while we were there. Not flush and no running water. Bring what you need (water, toilet paper, wipes ect) good amount of spots around. Some spots by the beach area and some more sheltered around the back by the toilets. Think we saw a devil at night and defiantly had visits from possums so dont leave rubbish out ect nice campsite for a few days, i recommend. Road in/was not bad no 4wd needed at all.

Great free campsite.
Contrary to the other reviews, we found the road down really well maintained (no pottholes, etc). We could comfortably drive 60 km/h in our 20 year old Toyota hiace.
It was quite busy even in winter - all spots in front of the water were taken. There are many nicely sheltered spots a short walk from the beach.
We stayed longer than planned because it was nicer than expected. Remember to take your rubbish since there are no bins available.

Loved it, peaceful, tidy. Toilets are good. Good family friendly beach. Great bird life. Take all that you need. Road can be rough. Overall great spot.

Terrific free camping, lots of room. Some spots on the lagoon which can get a bit windy, but also spots behind near the amenities which are quieter. Toilets are in great condition, hybrid style. No showers or water, but great swimming to wash off in the lagoon. Good fishing and nature walks.

Great free camping located right next to beach, sites are generous for all types of vehicles. Has toilet amenities which were serviced and clean.

Beautiful quiet and animal friendly -humans too!excellent spot beautiful beach .swimming and fishing .toilets close and good condition .we sheltered in amongst bush .native animals plenty plus a friendly possum at night!

Lovely spot to camp. Toilets only no showers. It's 16 degrees and sunny today not bad for Winter in Tasmania.

Peaceful, beautiful , quiet. Amazing beach and relatively quiet campground. Some of the sites were a tiny bit dirty but still worth the visit. Please take all your trash away with you.

Clear water will be good in summer

This is a free camping site Mt Williams National Park. It’s right on the beach. There is small backwater stretch which joins the lake to the ocean. Plenty of camping spots and there is toilets available. The dense vegetation and trees provide natural protection. The beach is accessible and we spotted lot of pelicans at the beach. The sunrise is awesome and beautiful.

Beautiful spot! It's a free campground. Limited campsites on the beach but more behind. No water, No BBQ and you are not allowed to have fire here. A fantastic beach for long walks on the white sands and crystal clear waters. A bit of dirt road to get there but worth the effort.

Remote, stunning.

You'll need to make a 45 min drive on some curvy gravel roads. An spectacular destination for either powerless camping or a day hike on the beach.

Road is corrugated never the less this is a great place to visit, Note- take your own toilet paper as there is none provided

Dirt road good condition. Clean toiilets lovely swimming bay secluded worth the drive from st Helens or Gladstone.

Started our day walk to the gardens from here and was pleasantly surprised a very pretty spot. Looked great for camping

Awesome. Except for where people leave toilet paper, very disappointed in seeing so much pn the ground especially when they provide great facilities. Fantastic camping area. 🙂
